Abstract

A prosthetic heart valve includes a collapsible and expandable stent extending in a longitudinal direction between an inflow end and an outflow end, the stent including a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells, and a plurality of commissure attachment features disposed on the stent, each commissure attachment feature having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two bodies connected via one or more suspension struts, each of the at least two bodies having at least one eyelet.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A prosthetic heart valve, comprising:
a collapsible and expandable stent extending in a longitudinal direction between an inflow end and an outflow end, the stent including a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells; and a plurality of commissure attachment features disposed on the stent, each commissure attachment feature having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two bodies connected via one or more suspension struts, each of the at least two bodies having at least one eyelet.

2 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bodies are of a same shape.

3 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bodies are of a same size.

4 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bodies are of different shapes.

5 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bodies are of different sizes.

6 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the at least two bodies is dome-shaped.

7 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein each of the at least two bodies includes multiple eyelets.

8 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 7 , wherein the multiple eyelets are arranged in a single column.

9 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the one or more suspension struts includes a single suspension strut.

10 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the one or more suspension struts includes multiple suspension struts.

11 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 10 , wherein the multiple suspension struts form a diamond shape.

12 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the one or more suspension struts are serpentine.

13 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bodies includes three bodies.

14 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bodies are aligned with one another in the longitudinal direction.

15 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein, when the stent is in an expanded condition, the inflow end of the stent has a first diameter and the outflow end of the stent has a second diameter greater than the first diameter.

16 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 15 , wherein a portion of the stent nearer the inflow end is cylindrical when the stent is in the expanded condition.

17 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 16 , wherein each commissure attachment feature is disposed at least partially on the cylindrical portion of the stent.

18 . The prosthetic heart valve of claim 1 , wherein the stent is cylindrical when in a collapsed condition.
