Hair Replacement Assembly

Abstract

A hair replacement assembly for simulating a hairline includes a net, which has a first face that is selectively engageable to a scalp of a user so that the net is removably engaged to the scalp. A plurality of filaments is engaged to the net and extends from a second face of the net. The filaments mimic hair of the user or a wig positioned on a head of the user. The net is one of a plurality of nets, with each net having a respective shape so that the plurality of nets comprises nets having a variety of shapes. Each net is shaped substantially complementarily to an associated target area on the scalp of the user so that the plurality of nets can cover a plurality of target areas. The filaments blend the target areas with the hair of the user or the wig.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A hair replacement assembly comprising:
 a net having a first face configured for selectively engaging a scalp of a user, such that the net is removably engaged to the scalp;   a plurality of filaments engaged to the net and extending from a second face of the net, wherein the filaments are configured for mimicking hair of the user or a wig positioned on a head of the user; and   the net being one of a plurality of nets, each net having a respective shape such that the plurality of nets comprises nets having a variety of shapes, each net being shaped substantially complementarily to an associated target area on the scalp of the user, wherein the plurality of nets is configured for covering a plurality of target areas, such that the filaments blend the target areas with the hair of the user or the wig.   
     
     
         2 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the net is substantially transparent. 
     
     
         3 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 1 , further including an adhesive selectively applicable to the first face of the net, such that the adhesive substantially covers the first face, the adhesive being configured for reversibly engaging skin, wherein the adhesive is configured for selectively engaging the scalp of the user for removably engaging the net to the scalp. 
     
     
         4 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 3 , wherein the adhesive comprising one or more of spirit gum, liquid latex, silicone, benzoin, contact cement, and collodion. 
     
     
         5 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the filaments comprise mammalian hair or synthetic fiber. 
     
     
         6 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the filaments comprising human hair. 
     
     
         7 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 6 , wherein the filaments comprise hair of the user. 
     
     
         8 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of nets comprises a pair of first nettings and a second netting, each first netting being shaped complementarily to a respective target area positioned proximate to an associated ear of the user, the second netting being shaped complementarily to a respective target area extending along a front hairline of the user or a forward edge of the wig. 
     
     
         9 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 8 , wherein the second netting is sized such that the second netting extends substantially between the first nettings when the plurality of nets is engaged to the scalp of the user. 
     
     
         10 . The hair replacement assembly of  claim 8 , wherein each first netting having a front edge, a rear edge, a top edge, and a bottom edge, a cutout extends into the bottom edge such that the first netting is positionable around the associated ear, the top edge and the rear edge being arcuate. 
     
     
         11 . A method utilizing a hair replacement assembly for simulating a hairline, the method comprising the steps of:
 providing a hair replacement assembly comprising:
 a net having a first face configured for selectively engaging an adhesive, 
 a plurality of filaments engaged to the net and extending from a second face of the net, wherein the filaments are configured for mimicking hair of a user or a wig positioned on a head of the user, and 
 the net being one of a plurality of nets, each net having a respective shape such that the plurality of nets comprises nets having a variety of shapes, each net being shaped substantially complementarily to an associated target area on a scalp of the user, the plurality of nets comprising a pair of first nettings and a second netting, each first netting being shaped complementarily to a respective target area positioned proximate to an associated ear of the user, the second netting being shaped complementarily to a respective target area extending along a front hairline of the user or a forward edge of the wig; 
   providing an adhesive, the adhesive being configured for reversibly engaging skin, wherein the adhesive is configured for selectively engaging the scalp of the user for removably engaging the net to the scalp;   applying the adhesive to the first face of each first netting and the first face of the second netting, such that the adhesive substantially covers the first face of each net;   positioning each net over an associated target area; and   pressing the nets onto the associated target areas to removably engage the nets to the scalp, wherein the nets are configured for covering a plurality of target areas, such that the filaments blend the target areas with hair of the user or the wig for simulating a new hairline.   
     
     
         12 . A hair replacement assembly comprising:
 a net having a first face configured for selectively engaging a scalp of a user, such that the net is removably engaged to the scalp, the net being substantially transparent;   an adhesive selectively applicable to the first face of the net, such that the adhesive substantially covers the first face, the adhesive being configured for reversibly engaging skin, wherein the adhesive is configured for selectively engaging the scalp of the user for removably engaging the net to the scalp, the adhesive comprising one or more of spirit gum, liquid latex, silicone, benzoin, contact cement, and collodion;   a plurality of filaments engaged to the net and extending from a second face of the net, wherein the filaments are configured for mimicking hair of the user or a wig positioned on a head of the user, the filaments comprising mammalian hair or synthetic fiber, the filaments comprising human hair, the filaments comprising hair of the user; and   the net being one of a plurality of nets, each net having a respective shape such that the plurality of nets comprises nets having a variety of shapes, each net being shaped substantially complementarily to an associated target area on the scalp of the user, wherein the plurality of nets is configured for covering a plurality of target areas, such that the filaments blend the target areas with the hair of the user or the wig, the plurality of nets comprising a pair of first nettings and a second netting, each first netting being shaped complementarily to a respective target area positioned proximate to an associated ear of the user, the second netting being shaped complementarily to a respective target area extending along a front hairline of the user or a forward edge of the wig, the second netting being sized such that the second netting extends substantially between the first nettings when the plurality of nets is engaged to the scalp of the user, each first netting having a front edge, a rear edge, a top edge, and a bottom edge, a cutout extends into the bottom edge such that the first netting is positionable around the associated ear, the top edge and the rear edge being arcuate.
