Abstract

Highly proliferative mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) may be useful for the large-scale and rapid production of a cell preparation, and a cell population may include the mesenchymal stem cells. A cell population may include mesenchymal stem cells derived from a fetal appendage, wherein, in the cell population, the proportion of CD105 + mesenchymal stem cells is 50% or more, the proportion of CD200 + mesenchymal stem cells is less than 10%, and the proportion of CD106 + mesenchymal stem cells is less than 5%.

1 . A cell population comprising mesenchymal stem cells derived from the fetal appendage, wherein
 in the cell population, the proportion of CD105 +  mesenchymal stem cells is 50% or more, the proportion of CD200 +  mesenchymal stem cells is less than 10%, and the proportion of CD106 +  mesenchymal stem cells is less than 5%.   
     
     
         2 . The cell population according to  claim 1 , wherein the cell population comprises at least CD14 +  mesenchymal stem cells. 
     
     
         3 . The cell population according to  claim 2 , wherein in the cell population, the proportion of the CD14 +  mesenchymal stem cells is 5% or more. 
     
     
         4 . The cell population according to  claim 1 , wherein the mesenchymal stem cells are culturable without the arrest of proliferation up to 40 days or later after the start of ex vivo culture. 
     
     
         5 . The cell population according to  claim 1 , wherein the mesenchymal stem cells are culturable up to a population doubling level of 10 or more after the start of ex vivo culture. 
     
     
         6 . The cell population according to  claim 1 , wherein a population doubling time of the mesenchymal stem cells is 2 days or shorter. 
     
     
         7 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising the cell population according to  claim 1  and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
