Abstract

A ring toss game assembly enabling a tabletop playable ring tossing game includes a board, a plurality of pegs, and a plurality of rings. Each peg is engaged to and extends substantially perpendicularly from an upper face of the board. A respective ring is grasped in digits of a hand of a user, positioning the user to toss the respective ring in an attempt to position the respective ring around a respective one of the plurality of pegs. The ring toss game assembly also may comprise a set of rules for playing a ring toss game.

1 . A ring toss game assembly comprising:
a board; a plurality of pegs, each peg being engaged to and extending substantially perpendicularly from an upper face of the board; and a plurality of rings, wherein a respective ring is configured for grasping in digits of a hand of a user, positioning the user for tossing the respective ring in an attempt to position the respective ring around a respective one of the plurality of pegs.

2 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 1 , wherein:
the board is substantially circularly shaped; the rings are substantially circularly shaped; each ring has a respective inner diameter, such that the plurality of rings comprises rings having a variety of inner diameters; and each peg has a respective color, such that the plurality of pegs comprises pegs having a variety of colors.

3 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 1 , wherein:
the board has a width of from 20.00 to 42.00 centimeters; and the pegs extend from the board from 1.27 to 3.20 centimeters.

4 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 3 , wherein:
the board has a width of approximately 28.00 centimeters; and the pegs extend from the board approximately 2.54 centimeters.

5 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of pegs comprises pegs colored red, orange, green, yellow, purple, white, and blue.

6 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 1 , wherein each peg has an end distal from the board, the peg being tapered adjacent to the end, such that the end is circumferentially smaller than the peg proximate to the end.

7 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 1 , further including a plurality of holes extending into the upper face of the board, the holes being sized complementarily to the pegs, such that the pegs are selectively insertable into the holes for engaging the pegs to the board in one of a variety of possible configurations.

8 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 7 , wherein the holes are positioned in a plurality of concentric circles.

9 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 2 , wherein the rings comprise rubber, silicone, flexible elastomer, rigid elastomer, wood, or metal.

10 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of rings comprises:
a first set of rings, each ring of the first set comprising rubber, silicone, or flexible elastomer, the rings of the first set having equivalent inner diameters; a second set of rings, each ring of the second set comprising rubber, silicone, or flexible elastomer, the rings of the second set having equivalent inner diameters, the rings of the second set having smaller inner diameters than the rings of the first set; and a third set of rings, each ring of the third set comprising rigid elastomer, wood, or metal, the rings of the third set having equivalent inner diameters, the rings of the third set having inner diameters equivalent to the rings of the second set.

11 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 10 , wherein:
each ring of the first set has an inner diameter of 3.81 centimeters; and each ring of the second set has an inner diameter of 2.86 centimeters.

12 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 1 , further including a wall engaged to, extending around, and extending substantially perpendicularly from, a perimeter of the board, wherein the wall is configured for retaining tossed rings upon the board.

13 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 12 , wherein the wall is substantially transparent.

14 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 12 , wherein the wall has a height of from 2.54 to 7.62 centimeters.

15 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 14 , wherein the wall has a height of approximately 5.08 centimeters.

16 . The ring toss game assembly of claim 1 , further including a set of rules for playing a ring toss game.

17 . A method of playing a ring toss game comprising:
providing a ring toss game assembly comprising:
 a board,
a plurality of pegs, each peg being engaged to and extending substantially perpendicularly from an upper face of the board, and
