Multi-purpose tv mounting system

Abstract

Described herein are improved multi-purpose television mounting systems, methods, and apparatuses. Embodiments can include a clamp having a clamp rail and a clamp base that can be arranged in different ways so that a TV mounting system using the clamp can mount a TV to many different types of objects for use indoors or outdoors.

 a clamp, comprising a receptacle that comprises two lateral walls extending out from opposing ends of a base wall; and   a connector, comprising:
 a pole hole; and 
 an interface that is configured to attach to one of the lateral walls or the base wall. 
   
     
     
         22 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the interface comprises a wall. 
     
     
         23 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the receptacle of the clamp includes or is a part of a rail. 
     
     
         24 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the two lateral walls are parallel to each other. 
     
     
         25 . The apparatus of  claim 24 , wherein the base wall spans the two lateral walls. 
     
     
         26 . the apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the connector includes or is a part of a clamp base and the clamp base comprises a body that comprises the pole hole that is configured to receive a pole. 
     
     
         27 . the apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the connector comprises a body that comprises the pole hole that is configured to receive a pole. 
     
     
         28 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , further comprising an underpart configured to secure the clamp to an object received by the receptacle. 
     
     
         29 . The apparatus of  claim 28 , wherein the underpart is configured to secure, by a screw, the clamp to the object received by the receptacle. 
     
     
         30 . The apparatus of  claim 29 , wherein a tip of the screw has a flat end or rounded end to limit the tip from damaging the object that is secured by the screw. 
     
     
         31 . The apparatus of  claim 29 , wherein a tip of the screw comprises rubber, felt, or another type of soft material to limit the tip from damaging the object that is secured by the screw. 
     
     
         32 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the connector comprises a screw configured to secure a pole received by the pole hole. 
     
     
         33 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the connector comprises a pin hole that traverses the pole hole, and wherein the pin hole is positioned to align with a pin hole of a pole received by the pole hole so that an alignment of the pin holes provides a channel through the pin holes for a pin to be inserted into the pin holes to secure the pole to the connector. 
     
     
         34 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , comprising one or more liners configured to line one or more receiving surfaces of the receptacle to limit the receptacle from damaging an object that it receives. 
     
     
         35 . The apparatus of  claim 34 , wherein the one or more liners comprise one or more gaskets. 
     
     
         36 . The apparatus of  claim 34 , wherein the one or more liners comprise rubber, felt, or another type of soft material. 
     
     
         37 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the receptacle is a U-shaped receptacle in that a cross-section of the receptacle is similar to a shape of the letter U. 
     
     
         38 . The apparatus of  claim 21 , wherein the pole hole is a cylindrical hole. 
     
     
         39 . A clamp, comprising:
 a receptacle that comprises two lateral walls extending out from opposing ends of a base wall; and   a connector, comprising:
 a pole hole; and 
 an interface that is configured to attach to one of the lateral walls or the base wall. 
   
     
     
         40 . A system, comprising:
 a pole;   a display mounting plate configured to attach to the pole; and   a clamp configured to attach to the pole, wherein the clamp comprises a receptacle that comprises two lateral walls extending out from opposing ends of a base wall.
