Abstract
The invention relates to monoclonal antibodies, in particular against a peptide of the BAMBI protein, as well as the uses thereof and methods comprising same. Preferably, the antibodies are used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

3 . The antibody according to claim 1 , wherein the antibody comprises an amino acid heavy chain encoded by the nucleotide sequence that comprises the sequence SEQ ID NO: 3 and an amino acid light chain encoded by the nucleotide sequence that comprises the sequence SEQ ID NO: 4.
4 . The antibody according to claim 1 , wherein the antibody comprises an amino acid heavy chain encoded by the nucleotide sequence that comprises the sequence SEQ ID NO: 5 and an amino acid light chain encoded by the nucleotide sequence that comprises the sequence SEQ ID NO: 6.

6 . A cell expressing the antibody according to claim 1 .
7 . An in vitro use of the antibody according to claim 1 for the inhibition of BMP and Activin Membrane Bound Inhibitor (BAMBI).
8 . The antibody according to claim 1 for use as a medicament.
9 . The antibody according to claim 1 for use in the treatment or prevention of autoimmune diseases.

The antibody for use according to claim 9 wherein the autoimmune diseases are selected from the list consisting of: autoimmune arthritis, spondyloarthritis, psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and inflammatory bowel disease, preferably wherein the inflammatory bowel disease is ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.
