Abstract

This is a needle bar handling system for a sewing machine. More specifically, it is a handling system that allows the length of the needle bar stroke to be varied according to the thickness of the fabric to be sewn.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Handling system for the needle bar of a sewing machine,
comprising a needle bar with a vertical shaft to which a crank is connected which in turn is connected to a cylindrical element which is fixed coaxially to a rotating shaft, wherein the crank is connected to the cylindrical element by means of an adjustment device, the crank being pivoted with a pin to the adjustment device, the adjustment device being adapted to adjust the position of the pin with respect to the rotation axis of the rotating shaft; wherein the adjustment device comprises a fixed element which is mounted stably on the cylindrical element, and a movable element to which the crank is pivoted, the movable element being fixable to the fixed element in variable positions; wherein the movable element is translatable with respect to the fixed element; characterized by the fact that at least one slotted hole is formed in the movable element, the at least one slotted hole being penetrable by a screw to be screwed into a threaded hole formed in the fixed element.

2 . Handling system according to claim 1 , wherein the movable element is translatable with respect to the fixed element according to a radial direction with respect to the cylindrical element.

3 . Handling system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one slotted hole develops according to a radial direction with respect to the cylindrical element.

4 . Handling system according to claim 1 , wherein the fixed element includes two lateral shoulders between which the movable element can move.
