Abstract

The present invention comprises an apparatus for manufacturing electronics without PCBs.

1 . An apparatus for manufacturing electronics, comprising:
 a frame with motors for driving moving head;   a processor configured to control the motors;   a building platform;   a moving head comprising:
 an extruder configured to extrude conductive material; 
 an extruder configured to extrude non-conductive material; 
 a pick-and-place mechanism. 
   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1  with the frame further comprising a tray for components to be embedded. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1  with the frame further comprising a tape & reel feeder. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1  with the frame further comprising a flip mechanism configured to rotate electronic components upside-down. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1  with the moving head further comprising a computer vision camera. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 5  with the frame further comprising a mirrored surface within the reach of the moving head, to detect position and orientation of picked components. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1  with the moving head further comprising a programming/testing contacts head. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 1  with the moving head further comprising a flux dispenser.
