Abstract

Systems and methods herein describe generating user-aligned spatial volumes by receiving a view of an object from a camera, receiving a virtual boundary defined by two points on a perimeter of the object, generating a volume of the object based on the virtual boundary, causing presentation of a representation of the volume on a display device coupled to a head-wearable apparatus, receiving an adjustment of the representation of the volume, and causing presentation of the adjusted representation of the volume on the display device.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method comprising:
 receiving, by one or more processor, an image from a camera, the image comprising a view of an object; receiving, from a head-wearable apparatus, a first input associated with a virtual boundary of an object, the virtual boundary defined by two points on a perimeter of the object; generating a volume of the object based on the virtual boundary; causing presentation of a representation of the volume on a display device coupled to the head-wearable apparatus; receiving, from the head-wearable apparatus, a second input associated with an adjustment of the representation of the volume; and causing presentation of the adjusted representation of the volume on the display device.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the representation of the volume is an augmented reality content item.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the second input associated with the adjustment further comprises:
 identifying a change in position of the head-wearable apparatus; and generating the adjustment representation of the volume based on the identified change in position.

         4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein generating the adjustment representation of the volume occurs in real-time.

         5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
 storing the adjusted representation of the volume in a database.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving data associated with the object from the head-wearable apparatus, the data comprising an object identification.

         7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the data further comprises a set of augmented reality content items associated with the object.

         8 . A system comprising:
 a processor; and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the system to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, by one or more processor, an image from a camera, the image comprising a view of an object;
 receiving, from a head-wearable apparatus, a first input associated with a virtual boundary of an object, the virtual boundary defined by two points on a perimeter of the object;
 generating a volume of the object based on the virtual boundary;
 causing presentation of a representation of the volume on a display device coupled to the head-wearable apparatus;
 receiving, from the head-wearable apparatus, a second input associated with an adjustment of the representation of the volume; and
 causing presentation of the adjusted representation of the volume on the display device.

         9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the representation of the volume is an augmented reality content item.

         10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein receiving the second input associated with the adjustment further comprises:
 identifying a change in position of the head-wearable apparatus; and generating the adjustment representation of the volume based on the identified change in position.

         11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein generating the adjustment representation of the volume occurs in real-time.

         12 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising:
 storing the adjusted representation of the volume in a database.

         13 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising:
 receiving data associated with the object from the head-wearable apparatus, the data comprising an object identification.

         14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the data further comprises a set of augmented reality content items associated with the object.

         15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the computer-readable storage medium including instructions that when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, by one or more processor, an image from a camera, the image comprising a view of an object; receiving, from a head-wearable apparatus, a first input associated with a virtual boundary of an object, the virtual boundary defined by two points on a perimeter of the object; generating a volume of the object based on the virtual boundary; causing presentation of a representation of the volume on a display device coupled to the head-wearable apparatus; receiving, from the head-wearable apparatus, a second input associated with an adjustment of the representation of the volume; and causing presentation of the adjusted representation of the volume on the display device.

         16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the representation of the volume is an augmented reality content item.

         17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein receiving the second input associated with the adjustment further comprises:
 identifying a change in position of the head-wearable apparatus; and generating the adjustment representation of the volume based on the identified change in position.

         18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 storing the adjusted representation of the volume in a database.

         19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 receiving data associated with the object from the head-wearable apparatus, the data comprising an object identification.

         20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the data further comprises a set of augmented reality content items associated with the object.
