Abstract

An athletic garment assembly for anchoring a rider to a seat of a bicycle includes a pair of shorts that is wearable on a rider's lower body. The pair of shorts has an external engagement that is integrated into a crotch of the shorts. The external engagement engages a nose of a seat on a bicycle when the rider sits on the seat. In this way the external engagement can anchor the rider to the seat.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An athletic garment assembly having a crotch pouch for receiving a nose of a bicycle seat for anchoring a rider on the bicycle seat, said assembly comprising:
a pair of shorts being wearable on a rider's lower body, said pair of shorts having an external engagement being integrated into a crotch of said shorts, said external engagement engaging a nose of a seat on a bicycle when the rider sits on the seat wherein said external engagement is configured to anchor the rider to the seat.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said pair of shorts has a pair of legs, said crotch extending between said pair of legs; said assembly includes a pair of pockets, each of said pockets being coupled to a respective one of said legs of said shorts, each of said pockets being positioned on an outwardly facing side of said respective leg; and a pouch having a perimeter edge, said perimeter edge having a curved portion and a straight portion extending between opposite sides of said curved portion, said curved portion being coupled to an outside surface of said shorts.

         3 . (canceled)

4 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said straight portion is free from said outside surface to define an opening into said pouch, said pouch being positioned on said crotch of said shorts such that said pouch defines said engagement, said opening being directed rearwardly on said shorts wherein said opening is configured to receive the nose of the seat.

5 . An athletic garment assembly having a crotch pouch for receiving a nose of a bicycle seat for anchoring a rider on the bicycle seat, said assembly comprising:
a pair of shorts being wearable on a rider's lower body, said pair of shorts having an external engagement being integrated into a crotch of said shorts, said external engagement engaging a nose of a seat on a bicycle when the rider sits on the seat wherein said external engagement is configured to anchor the rider to the seat, said pair of shorts having a pair of legs, said crotch extending between said pair of legs; a pair of pockets, each of said pockets being coupled to a respective one of said legs of said shorts, each of said pockets being positioned on an outwardly facing side of said respective leg; and a pouch having a perimeter edge, said perimeter edge having a curved portion and a straight portion extending between opposite sides of said curved portion, said curved portion being coupled to an outside surface of said shorts, said straight portion being free from said outside surface to define an opening into said pouch, said pouch being positioned on said crotch of said shorts such that said pouch defines said external engagement, said opening being directed rearwardly on said shorts wherein said opening is configured to receive the nose of the seat.

6 . The assembly according to claim 5 , further comprising a loop having a first end and a second end, said loop being curved between said first end and said second end such that said first end is spaced from said second end, each of said first end and said second end being coupled to said outside surface of said shorts, said loop being positioned on said crotch of said shorts having said loop extending downwardly from said crotch such that said loop defines said external engagement wherein said loop is configured to have the nose of the seat extended through said loop.

7 . An athletic garment system having a crotch pouch for receiving a nose of a bicycle seat for anchoring a rider on the bicycle seat, said system comprising:
a bicycle seat having a nose extending away from a body of said bicycle seat wherein said nose is configured to extend under a rider's crotch when the rider sits on said body of said bicycle seat; a pair of shorts being wearable on a rider's lower body, said pair of shorts having an external engagement being integrated into a crotch of said shorts, said external engagement engaging said nose of said bicycle seat when the rider sits on said bicycle seat wherein said external engagement is configured to anchor the rider to said bicycle seat, said pair of shorts having a pair of legs, said crotch extending between said pair of legs; a pair of pockets, each of said pockets being coupled to a respective one of said legs of said shorts, each of said pockets being positioned on an outwardly facing side of said respective leg; and a pouch having a perimeter edge, said perimeter edge having a curved portion and a straight portion extending between opposite sides of said curved portion, said curved portion being coupled to an outside surface of said shorts, said straight portion being free from said outside surface to define an opening into said pouch, said pouch being positioned on said crotch of said shorts such that said pouch defines said engagement, said opening being directed rearwardly on said shorts, said opening insertably receiving said nose of said bicycle seat.
