Abstract
The present disclosure provides a bra for making a wearer's breasts appear symmetrical. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a bra cup system or bra pad having an outer contour associated with a perceived cup size and an inner contour associated with a breast size to provide a symmetrical appearance to asymmetrical or uneven breasts. The bra cup system or bra pad allows for a superior fit due to inner and outer cup sizes and separate treatment of the wearer's breasts.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A bra comprising:
a first portion including a first cup system, a first torso strap, and a first shoulder strap operably connected to the first cup system and the first torso strap; a second portion including a second cup system, a second torso strap, and a second shoulder strap operably connected to the second cup system and the second torso strap; a first clasp connecting the first cup system to the second cup system; and a second clasp connecting the first torso strap to the second torso strap,
wherein the first cup system includes a first pad having an outer contour associated with a perceived cup size and a first inner contour associated with a first breast size,
wherein the second cup system includes a second pad having an outer contour associated with the perceived cup size and a second inner contour associated with a second breast size, and
wherein the first breast size is different than the second breast size.
2 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the first bra pad is removable from the first cup system.
3 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the second bra pad is removable from the second cup system.
4 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the first pad is fixedly secured to an inner surface of the first cup system.
5 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the second pad is fixedly secured to an inner surface of the second cup system.
6 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the first pad is fixedly secured to the inner surface of the first cup system by an adhesive selected from a group consisting of: complementary magnets, complementary hook-and-loop material, stitches, and a combination of any two or more of the foregoing.
7 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the second pad is fixedly secured to the inner surface of the second cup system by an adhesive, complementary magnets, complementary hook-and-loop material, stitches, or a combination of any two or more of the foregoing.
8 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the second clasp consists essentially of at least one hook eye style closure disposed on the first torso strap, and a plurality of hook eye closures disposed on the second torso strap, the plurality of hook eye closures being configured to receive the hook eye style closure and disposed at a plurality of distances from an end of the second torso strap or the first torso strap.
9 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein a single torso strap connects the first cup system and the second cup system.
10 . The bra of claim 1 , wherein the first bra pad has an inner contour associated with a first breast size that is a lesser size than the outer contour associated with a perceived cup size, by at least one standard half cup size (e.g., A ½, B ½, C ½, D ½, etc.).
11 - 70 . (canceled)
71 . A bra comprising:
a first bra pad having an outer contour associated with a perceived cup size and a first inner contour 24 associated with a first breast size; a second bra pad having an outer contour associated with the perceived cup size and a second inner contour associated with a second breast size
wherein the first breast size is different than the second breast size.
72 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first bra pad and the second bra pad each consist essentially of foam, gel, air, silicon, a non-solid material, or any combination thereof.
73 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein at least a portion of a perimeter edge of the first inner contour has a greater thickness than interior region of the first inner contour.
74 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first outer contour is larger than the first inner contour by at least one standard whole cup size (e.g., A, B, C, D, etc.).
75 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first inner contour is flat.
76 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first bra pad has one suitable geometric shape selected from a group consisting of: triangular, round, vertical, teardrop or partial cup configuration.
77 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first bra pad is configured to be fixedly secured to an inner surface of a first cup system.
78 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first bra pad is fixedly secured to an inner surface of a first cup system by an adhesive selected from the group consisting of: complementary magnets, complementary hook-and-loop material, stitches, and a combination of any two or more of the foregoing.
79 . The bra of claim 71 , wherein the first inner contour has a concave shape consistent with a shape of the first outer contour.
80 . The bra of claim 71 , further comprising a wire.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
