Apparatus for cultivating plants

Abstract

An apparatus for cultivating plants may include a cabinet having a cultivation space; a machine compartment separated from the cultivation space and that accommodates a compressor and a condenser; at least one bed disposed in the cultivation space and on which at least one seed package including nutrient solution and seeds is seated; at least one light assembly that radiates light toward the at least one bed; and a water tank disposed in the cultivation space, positioned in front of the machine compartment, and that stores water to be supplied to the at least one bed. The water tank may be inserted into and withdrawn out of the cultivation space.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for cultivating plants comprising:
 a cabinet having a cultivation space;   an evaporator disposed in the cultivation space;   a machine compartment separated from the cultivation space and accommodating a compressor and a condenser;   a bed that is disposed in the cultivation space and on which plants are cultivated;   a pair of guides mounted on opposite side surfaces of the cabinet, on which the bed is seated for withdrawal and the introduction of the bed;   a light assembly radiating light toward the bed;   a water tank for storing water that is supplied to the bed, the water tank being disposed in the cultivation space and capable of being selectively moved in and out of the cultivation space;   a water supply assembly connected with the water tank to supply water to the bed;   a water supply pipe connected with the water supply assembly and extending toward the bed to supply water in the water tank;   a pipe guiding part recessed on the side surface of the cabinet, the water supply pipe being disposed along the pipe guiding part.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a pump and a valve for supplying water in the water tank to the bed, which are disposed between the water tank and the machine compartment. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the water supply pipe is connected to the water supply valve provided in the water supply assembly. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the pipe guiding part extends upward from one side adjacent to the water supply valve. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the water supply pipe is positioned in the corner areas of rear and side surfaces of the cultivating space. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a water supply portion is formed at the corner of the rear end portion of the bed, and
 the outlet of the water supply pipe is formed to be directed toward the inside of the water supply portion.   
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the water supply pipe is formed of a metal pipe. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a water supply pipe holder fixing an end of the water supply pipe such that the end of the water supply pipe faces a water supply portion protruding from a rear end of the bed. 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the evaporator disposed on the rear wall surface of the cultivating space. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 9 , further comprising a blower assembly is provided in front of the evaporator and configured to circulate in the cultivating space to cool. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , insofar as depending on  claim 8  wherein the water supply pipes and the water supply pipe holder is covered when the blower assembly is mounted. 
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the guides are mounted on opposite side surfaces of the cultivating space, and are configured to cover a section which is the pipe guiding part. 
     
     
         13 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a water supply case disposed behind the water tank in the cultivation space, and
 a tank switch mounted on the water supply case and protruding toward the water tank, when the water tank is mounted, the tank switch being configured to be pressed by the rear surface of the water tank.
