Abstract

A mobile electronic device having a flexible display device is disclosed. A request to retrieve information from a server over a wireless network is triggered based on flexing the flexible display device and other gestures.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An electronic device comprising:
a housing; a first display coupled to the housing; a second display coupled to the housing; one or more sensors configured to obtain sensor data; and circuitry configured to:
turn off the second display and display content on the first display in response to the sensor data; and
resize an image displayed on the first display in response to the sensor data.

2 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the first display is a foldable display.

3 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the housing has first and second opposing sides, wherein the first display is coupled to the first side of the housing, and wherein the second display is coupled to the second side of the housing.

4 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the second display is a flexible display.

5 . The electronic device defined in claim 4 , wherein the first display is a flexible display.

6 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein resizing the image displayed on the first display in response to the sensor data comprises resizing the image displayed on the first display in response to the one or more sensors detecting folding of the first display.

7 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the one or more sensors are configured to detect folding of the first display into a given shape and wherein the circuitry is configured to resize the image displayed on the first display based on the given shape.

8 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the one or more sensors are configured to detect folding of the first display into a given shape and wherein the circuitry is configured to resize the image displayed on the first display to fit the given shape.

9 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the first display is an organic light-emitting diode display.

10 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein turning off the second display and displaying content on the first display in response to the sensor data comprises turning off the second display and displaying content on the first display in response to detecting rotation.

11 . The electronic device defined in claim 1 , wherein the one or more sensors comprises a motion sensor.

12 . An electronic device comprising:
a housing; a first display coupled to the housing; a second display coupled to the housing; one or more sensors configured to obtain sensor data; and circuitry configured to:
display content on only the second display; and
subsequent to displaying content on only the second display, load content on the first display and stop displaying content on the second display in response to the sensor data.

13 . The electronic device defined in claim 12 , wherein the circuitry is configured to resize an image displayed on the first display in response to the sensor data.

14 . The electronic device defined in claim 12 , wherein the first display is an organic light-emitting diode display.

15 . The electronic device defined in claim 12 , wherein the first display is a foldable display.

16 . The electronic device defined in claim 12 , wherein the housing has first and second opposing sides, wherein the first display is coupled to the first side of the housing, and wherein the second display is coupled to the second side of the housing.

17 . The electronic device defined in claim 12 , wherein the first display is a flexible display.

18 . The electronic device defined in claim 17 , wherein the second display is a flexible display.

19 . An electronic device that has first and second opposing sides, the electronic device comprising:
a housing; a first display coupled to the housing, wherein the first display is configured to display content at the first side; a second display coupled to the housing, wherein the second display is configured to display content at the second side; one or more sensors configured to obtain sensor data; and circuitry configured to:
turn off the second display and display content on the first display in response to the sensor data; and
resize an image displayed on the first display in response to the sensor data.

20 . The electronic device defined in claim 19 , wherein the first display is a foldable display.
