Claims

Abstract

A compressor is provided. The compressor may include a fixed wrap, and an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap engaged with the fixed wrap to form compression chambers. The fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap may have irregular wrap curves. At least one interference avoiding portion at which a spacing between the wraps is greater than an orbiting radius or at least one gap compensating portion at which the spacing between the wraps is smaller than the orbiting radius, in a state in which a center of the fixed scroll and a center of the orbiting scroll are aligned with each other, may be provided on a sidewall surface of the fixed wrap or the orbiting wrap, whereby frictional loss or abrasion due to interference between the wraps or a refrigerant leakage due to a gap between the wraps may be prevented.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A compressor comprising:
 a case;   a drive motor fixed to the inside of the case to rotate a rotating shaft;   a orbiting scroll including an orbiting plate portion supporting the rotating shaft, and an orbiting wrap extending along a circumference of the orbiting plate portion;   a fixed scroll including a fixed end plate fixed to the case, and a fixed wrap provided to compress a refrigerant in engagement with the orbiting wrap in the fixed end plate; and   wherein the orbital wrap disposed between the direction toward the outer end of the orbital wrap from the rotation shaft and the direction toward the inner end of the fixed wrap from the rotational shaft is provided with a section in which the radius of curvature varies.   
     
     
         2 . The compressor according to  claim 1 , wherein the orbiting scroll includes a rotating shaft coupling part supporting the rotating shaft and extending the orbiting wrap,
 Wherein the rotating shaft coupling portion includes a concave portion that is depressed to avoid the end of the fixing wrap, and a protrusion extending from the concave portion and protruding toward the fixing wrap,   wherein the orbital wrap disposed between the direction toward the outer end of the orbital wrap from the rotating shaft and the direction from the rotating shaft toward the protrusion is provided with a section in which the radius of curvature varies.   
     
     
         3 . The compressor according to  claim 2 , wherein the fixed scroll includes an inlet provided through the fixed end plate to receive the refrigerant, and an outlet provided through the fixed end plate in an area adjacent to the concave portion to discharge the refrigerant,
 wherein the orbital wrap disposed between a direction from the rotation shaft toward the inlet and a direction from the rotation shaft toward the outlet is provided with a section in which the radius of curvature varies.   
     
     
         4 . The compressor according to  claim 2 , wherein An outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft coupling part is disposed to face the orbiting wrap. 
     
     
         5 . The compressor according to  claim 4 , wherein the height of the rotating shaft coupling part is provided to correspond to the height of the orbiting wrap. 
     
     
         6 . The compressor according to  claim 4 , wherein the rotating shaft coupling part is provided to accommodate at least a portion of the rotation shaft. 
     
     
         7 . The compressor according to  claim 3 , wherein the outlet is disposed to be more inclined to the outside of the fixed end plate than the rotating shaft coupling part. 
     
     
         8 . The compressor according to  claim 1 , wherein the orbital wrap disposed between the direction toward the outer end of the orbital wrap from the rotating shaft and the direction toward the inner end of the fixed wrap from the rotating shaft is provided with a section in which the thickness varies. 
     
     
         9 . The compressor according to  claim 1 , wherein a portion protruding toward the case is formed in the orbital wrap disposed between the rotational shaft toward the outer end of the orbital wrap and the rotational shaft toward the inner end of the fixed wrap.
