Abstract
Provided is an enema device comprising a funnel-shaped enema nozzle and a plastic tube. The funnel-shaped enema nozzle comprises a flared conical proximal part that tapers at a transition into a tubular distal part having an outlet opening opposite the transition. The plastic tube is made as an integral part of the funnel-shaped nozzle by using multi-component injection molding and extends at the transition of the tubular distal part into the flared conical proximal part. At least a part of an exterior annular wall of the tubular distal part has a hydrophilic coating.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An enema device comprising
a funnel-shaped enema nozzle, the funnel-shaped enema nozzle comprising a flared conical proximal part that tapers at a transition into a tubular distal part having an outlet opening opposite the transition, a plastic tube, which is made as an integral part of the funnel-shaped nozzle by using multi-component injection molding, the plastic tube extending at the transition of the tubular distal part into the flared conical proximal part,
wherein at least a part of an exterior annular wall of the tubular distal part has a hydrophilic coating.
2 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein the plastic tube protrudes outside the flared conical proximal part and is surrounded by the flared conical proximal part.
3 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein the entire exterior wall of the tubular distal part has a hydrophilic coating.
4 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein at least a part of an exterior wall of the flared conical proximal part has a hydraulic coating.
5 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein an annular edge of the outlet opening of the tubular distal part is rounded.
6 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein an exterior diameter of the flared conical proximal part is about at least 50% larger than an exterior diameter of the tubular distal part at the outlet opening.
7 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein an axial length of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is between 1.2 and 1.5 times larger than an exterior diameter of the flared conical proximal part.
8 . The enema device according to claim 7 , wherein the axial length of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is between 45-95 mm.
9 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrophilic coating is a polyvinylpyrrolidone coating.
10 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrophilic coating is continuous, discontinuous or a combination thereof.
11 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is manufactured of flexible elastomeric polymer, such as polyurethane, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, silicone, styrene ethylene butylene styrene, thermoplastic polyester elastomer, or thermoplastic styrenic elastomer.
12 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein the flared proximal part has a grasping flange.
13 . The enema device according to claim 1 , wherein at least a part of an exterior wall of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is uneven.
14 . The enema device according to claim 13 , wherein the uneven part of the exterior wall of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is an exterior wall of the flared conical proximal part of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle.
15 . The enema device according to claim 13 , wherein a surface roughness of the uneven part of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is between 2.0-3.0 R a .
16 . The enema device according to claim 13 , wherein the funnel-shaped enema nozzle is manufactured by molding, where the surface of the mold cavity part corresponding to the uneven part of the funnel-shaped enema nozzle has been made uneven by abrasive blasting.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
