Device analysis for supplemental content exposure
Abstract
A content provider may receive an indication for supplemental content to be output to a target audience, determine a first content item to be viewed by the target audience based on one or more characteristics of the target audience, and may send an indication for the supplemental content to be output at a time associated with the output of the first content item. The content provider may determine a quantity of devices which output the supplemental content for a first time and may determine that this quantity of devices is below a target quantity of devices to output the supplemental content for the first time during a particular time period. The content provider may determine a second content item to be viewed by the target audience and may send an indication for the supplemental content to be output at a time associated with output of the second content item.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . A method comprising:
causing output of advertising content, associated with a target demographic, during output of first content, wherein the first content is associated with the target demographic; receiving, from one or more devices, information indicating a quantity of the one or more devices which output the advertising content during output of the first content; and causing, based on the quantity being below a target quantity, output of the advertising content during output of second content associated with the target demographic.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a type of the first content is different than a type of the second content.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the output of the first content and the output of the second content are during a same day.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving the information comprises:
monitoring, during output of the first content, the one or more devices to determine which of the one or more devices are outputting the advertising content.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the quantity indicates one or more unique views by the one or more devices.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information further indicates that the quantity is not likely to reach the target quantity during a time period associated with a first output of the advertising content.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the quantity of is not likely to reach the target quantity during the time period based on at least one of:
the one or more devices are not likely to output the first content during the time period, or the one or more devices have already output the advertising content for a first time during the time period.
8 . A device comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
cause output of advertising content, associated with a target demographic, during output of first content, wherein the first content is associated with the target demographic;
receive, from one or more devices, information indicating a quantity of the one or more devices which output the advertising content during output of the first content; and
cause, based on the quantity being below a target quantity, output of the advertising content during output of second content associated with the target demographic.
9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein a type of the first content is different than a type of the second content.
10 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the output of the first content and the output of the second content are during a same day.
11 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the receiving the information comprises:
monitoring, during output of the first content, the one or more devices to determine which of the one or more devices are outputting the advertising content.
12 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the quantity indicates one or more unique views by the one or more devices.
13 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the information further indicates that the quantity is not likely to reach the target quantity during a time period associated with a first output of the advertising content.
14 . The device of claim 13 , wherein the quantity of is not likely to reach the target quantity during the time period based on at least one of:
the one or more devices are not likely to output the first content during the time period, or the one or more devices have already output the advertising content for a first time during the time period.
15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
causing output of advertising content, associated with a target demographic, during output of first content, wherein the first content is associated with the target demographic; receiving, from one or more devices, information indicating a quantity of the one or more devices which output the advertising content during output of the first content; and causing, based on the quantity being below a target quantity, output of the advertising content during output of second content associated with the target demographic.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein a type of the first content is different than a type of the second content.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the output of the first content and the output of the second content are during a same day.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the receiving the information comprises:
monitoring, during output of the first content, the one or more devices to determine which of the one or more devices are outputting the advertising content.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the quantity indicates one or more unique views by the one or more devices.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the information further indicates that the quantity is not likely to reach the target quantity during a time period associated with a first output of the advertising content based on at least one of:
the one or more devices are not likely to output the first content during the time period, or the one or more devices have already output the advertising content for a first time during the time period.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
