Debric collection and portage system

Abstract

According to an aspect, an apparatus is provided that is capable of providing debris collection and portage. The apparatus includes handles and tarp devices which can be used to handle yard waste.

What is claim is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for debris collection and portage, the apparatus comprising:
 a weather-resistant cloth having first corner, a second corner and a third corner;   a first gripping handle, a second gripping handle and a third gripping handle, each gripping handle having an opening therein and an interlock element, the first gripping handle disposed on the cloth proximal to the first corner, the second gripping handle disposed on the cloth proximal to the second corner and the third gripping handle disposed on the cloth proximal to the third corner;   wherein the interlocking element of the first gripping handle is engageable with the interlocking element of the second gripping handle and wherein when the cloth is folded to position the first interlocking element adjacent the second interlocking element, the apparatus secures at least a portion of debris contained on the cloth; and   wherein the interlocking element of the third gripping handle is engageable with the interlocking element of the first gripping handle and the interlocking element of the second gripping handle, securing a further portion of the debris contained on the cloth; and   a wheels attachment pocket for removably attaching a wheels assembly, said wheels assembly including a shaft, a right wheel disposed on one end of the shaft and a left disposed on an opposite end of the shaft, said shaft removably attached to said portage apparatus with said wheels attachment pocket;   wherein said wheels assembly attached to debris collection and portage apparatus the wheels assembly facilitates moving the portage apparatus.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first, second and third gripping handle has a load measuring indicator. 
     
     
         3 . The load measuring indicator of  claim 2  being selected from the group consisting of a spring weight indicator and a load cell indicator. 
     
     
         4 . The first, second and third gripping handle of  claim 1 , wherein each of the first, second and third gripping handle has a weight. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the weather-resistant cloth is rectangular and includes a fourth corner. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the weather-resistant cloth includes at least two additional corners. 
     
     
         7 . A method of transporting debris comprising:
 providing a debris collection and portage apparatus having a removable wheel assembly, a cloth positionable on said removable wheel assembly, and at least three gripping handles on said cloth, the at least three gripping handles configured to be interlocked and gripped by a user;   placing the debris on said collection and portage apparatus;   positioning the debris upon said cloth;   interlocking said at least three gripping handles;   gripping said at least three gripping handles; and   towing the debris on said cloth.   
     
     
         8 . An apparatus for debris collection and portage, comprising of:
 a weather-resistant cloth having a front edge, a rear edge and at least three corners;   at least 3 gripping handles affixed to each of respective corners of the weather-resistant cloth, each of the gripping handles including an interlock element and an opening formed therein, the gripping handles comprising:
 a first gripping handle disposed on a first corner of a first edge of the cloth and a second gripping handle disposed on a second corner at a second edge of the cloth such that the first gripping handle is configured to interlock, via respective interlocking elements, with the second gripping handle when the cloth is folded lengthwise along a longitudinal axis extending from the cloth front edge to the cloth rear edge, the interlock securing at least a portion of debris contained on the cloth; and 
 a third gripping handle disposed on a third corner of the third edge of the cloth such that the third gripping handle is configured to interlock, via respective interlocking elements, with the first and second gripping handle when the cloth is folded lengthwise along the longitudinal axis, the interlock securing a further portion of the debris contained on the cloth; 
   said debris collection and portage apparatus having a wheels attachment pocket to removably attach a wheels assembly; and   said wheels assembly comprised of a right wheel and a left wheel connected by a shaft and said shaft can be removably attached to said portage apparatus using said wheels attachment pocket; said wheels assembly attached to debris collection and portage apparatus the wheels assembly can facilitate moving the portage apparatus.   
     
     
         9 . The gripping handle of  claim 8 , wherein the gripping handle has a load measuring indicator. 
     
     
         10 . The load measuring indicator of  claim 9  being selected from the group consisting of a spring weight indicator and a load cell indicator. 
     
     
         11 . The gripping handle of  claim 8 , wherein the handle has a weight.
