Anchoring and support climbing device
Abstract
An anchoring and support device for climbing, suitable for being connected to a safety rope, comprises at least two opposite first cams, rotatably hinged to a rotation pin and suitable for operating by exchanging forces along a first line crossing the points. The cams may contact opposite walls of a crack or fissure in a rock. Movement means of the rotation pins are adapted to increase an extension distance of the cams between a minimum size limit position and a maximum size limit position. Locking means for the movement means are adapted to lock the rotation pins in a fixed position and include one or more stabilizing means provided with movement means and locking means. The stabilizing means are adapted to operate according to an exchange of forces along a second line crossing at least one further contact point with the walls.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An anchoring and support device for climbing, suitable for being connected to a safety rope, comprising:
at least two opposite first cams, rotatably hinged to a rotation pin and suitable for operating by exchanging forces along a first line crossing the points wherein said cams contact the opposite walls of a crack or fissure in a rock; movement means of said rotation pins suitable for increasing the extension distance of the cams between a minimum size limit position and a maximum size limit position of the cams; locking means for the movement means, suitable for locking said rotation pins in a fixed position;
wherein the locking means comprises one or more stabilizing means provided with the movement means and the locking means,
wherein the stabilizing means is suitable for operating according to an exchange of forces along a second line crossing at least one further contact point with the walls to stabilize and prevent rotation of the anchoring and support device inside the crack or fissure.
2 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 1 , wherein said movement means and said locking means are both suitable for moving and locking said rotation pins and for moving and locking said stabilizing means.
3 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 2 , wherein said stabilizing means comprise at least one abutment element suitable for unloading a force on at least one wall of a crack or fissure in the rock.
4 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 2 , wherein said stabilizing means comprise at least one second cam.
5 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 43 , wherein the second cams are rotatably hinged to rocker arms by a second rotation pin.
6 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 5 , wherein said locking means are suitable for locking in a fixed position said second rotation pins of the second cams.
7 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 3 , wherein said at least one abutment element comprises a strut or a shaped appendage formed on extensions of said rocker arms.
8 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 6 , further comprising a plurality of rocker arms hinged to a central pin and having lengths different from each other, each rocker arm being provided, at an end distal from the central pin, with at least one of the first cam and the second cam.
9 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 8 , wherein said plurality of rocker arms are hinged to a central body at several central pins.
10 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 1 , further comprising first tension rods and a handle suitable for actuating said movement means.
11 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 8 , wherein said central pin is hollow and adapted to house at least one of a safety elastic cord and a rope.
12 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 5 , wherein said movement means comprise one or more slotted elongated openings, formed in a body of the anchoring and supporting device, the rotation pin of the first cams and the second rotation pin of the one or more second cams being slidingly rotatably disposed inside said openings.
13 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 5 , wherein said movement means comprise a crank shaft rotatably disposed in a body and wherein said rotation pins and said second rotation pins are directly formed on said shaft and define the crankpins of said crank shaft.
14 . The anchoring and support device according to claim 2 , wherein said locking means comprise a locking ratchet or jack mechanism suitable for enabling, under operative conditions, the rotation only in one direction with respect to the central pin, in order to pre-vent the rocker arms to rotatably move.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
