Abstract

Methods, apparatuses, and systems are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may perform listen before talk (LBT) procedures for licensed assisted access (LAA) cells. The LBT procedures may use different monitoring periods. The wireless device may transmit transport blocks (TBs) via the LAA cells.

1 . A method comprising:
 receiving, by a wireless device, a plurality of uplink grants for a plurality of uplink transmissions via a plurality of cells, wherein each uplink transmission of the plurality of uplink transmissions has a same starting position, and wherein the plurality of cells comprises a first cell and a second cell; and   transmitting, via the second cell, one or more transport blocks based on:
 a first listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure indicating that the first cell is clear; and 
 a second LBT procedure indicating that the second cell is clear. 
   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the first cell and the second cell operate in different unlicensed bands or different license assisted access (LAA) cell bands. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving the plurality of uplink grants comprises:
 receiving, via a licensed cell, at least one uplink grant of the plurality of uplink grants.   
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3 , wherein the at least one uplink grant is for at least one of:
 uplink transmission via the first cell; or   uplink transmission via the second cell.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising performing the first LBT procedure by:
 sensing the first cell; and   comparing a detected power with an energy detection threshold.   
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising selecting the first cell uniformly randomly from the plurality of cells to perform the first LBT procedure. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , wherein the selecting the first cell uniformly randomly from the plurality of cells comprises selecting, before performing an LBT procedure of a first type on any cell of the plurality of cells, the first cell uniformly randomly from the plurality of cells. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the transmitting the one or more transport blocks via the second cell is after transmitting a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cells comprises at least one of:
 an unlicensed cell; or   a license assisted access (LAA) cell.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising, based on the first LBT procedure indicating a clear channel for the first cell of the plurality of cells, transmitting a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising performing the second LBT procedure immediately before uplink transmission via the first cell. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 performing, based on the plurality of uplink grants, the first LBT procedure and the second LBT procedure.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 based on performing the first LBT procedure, determining that the first LBT procedure indicates that the first cell is clear; and   based on performing the second LBT procedure, determining that the second LBT procedure indicates that the second cell is clear,   wherein a type of the first LBT procedure is different from a type of the second LBT procedure, and wherein the second LBT procedure is shorter than the first LBT procedure.   
     
     
         14 . A method comprising:
 transmitting, by a base station, a plurality of uplink grants for a plurality of uplink transmissions via a plurality of cells, wherein each uplink transmission of the plurality of uplink transmissions has a same starting position, and wherein the plurality of cells comprises a first cell and a second cell; and   receiving, from a wireless device via the second cell, one or more transport blocks based on:
 a first listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure indicating that the first cell is clear; and 
 a second LBT procedure indicating that the second cell is clear. 
   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising configuring the plurality of cells, wherein the first cell and the second cell operate in different unlicensed bands or different license assisted access (LAA) cell bands. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the transmitting the plurality of uplink grants comprises:
 transmitting, via a licensed cell, at least one uplink grant of the plurality of uplink grants.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the at least one uplink grant is for at least one of:
 uplink transmission via the first cell; or   uplink transmission via the second cell.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the receiving the one or more transport blocks via the second cell is after receiving a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the plurality of cells comprises at least one of:
 an unlicensed cell; or   a license assisted access (LAA) cell.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising, based on the first LBT procedure indicating a clear channel for the first cell of the plurality of cells, receiving a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the second LBT procedure occurs immediately before uplink transmission via the first cell. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein at least one uplink grant of the plurality of uplink grants causes the first LBT procedure and the second LBT procedure. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein a type of the first LBT procedure is different from a type of the second LBT procedure, and wherein the second LBT procedure is shorter than the first LBT procedure. 
     
     
         24 . A wireless device comprising:
 one or more processors; and   memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
 receive a plurality of uplink grants for a plurality of uplink transmissions via a plurality of cells, wherein each uplink transmission of the plurality of uplink transmissions has a same starting position, and wherein the plurality of cells comprises a first cell and a second cell; and 
 transmit, via the second cell, one or more transport blocks based on:
 a first listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure indicating that the first cell is clear; and 
 a second LBT procedure indicating that the second cell is clear. 
 
   
     
     
         25 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the first cell and the second cell operate in different unlicensed bands or different license assisted access (LAA) cell bands. 
     
     
         26 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to receive, via a licensed cell, at least one uplink grant of the plurality of uplink grants. 
     
     
         27 . The wireless device of  claim 26 , wherein the at least one uplink grant is for at least one of:
 uplink transmission via the first cell; or   uplink transmission via the second cell.   
     
     
         28 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to perform the first LBT procedure by:
 sensing the first cell; and   comparing a detected power with an energy detection threshold.   
     
     
         29 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to select the first cell uniformly randomly from the plurality of cells to perform the first LBT procedure. 
     
     
         30 . The wireless device of  claim 29 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to select the first cell uniformly randomly from the plurality of cells by selecting, before performing an LBT procedure of a first type on any cell of the plurality of cells, the first cell uniformly randomly from the plurality of cells. 
     
     
         31 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to transmit the one or more transport blocks via the second cell after transmitting a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         32 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the plurality of cells comprises at least one of:
 an unlicensed cell; or   a license assisted access (LAA) cell.   
     
     
         33 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to transmit, based on the first LBT procedure indicating a clear channel for the first cell of the plurality of cells, a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         34 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to perform the second LBT procedure immediately before uplink transmission via the first cell. 
     
     
         35 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
 perform, based on the plurality of uplink grants, the first LBT procedure and the second LBT procedure.   
     
     
         36 . The wireless device of  claim 24 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
 based on performing the first LBT procedure, determine that the first LBT procedure indicates that the first cell is clear; and   based on performing the second LBT procedure, determine that the second LBT procedure indicates that the second cell is clear,   wherein a type of the first LBT procedure is different from a type of the second LBT procedure, and wherein the second LBT procedure is shorter than the first LBT procedure.   
     
     
         37 . A base station comprising:
 one or more processors; and   memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:
 transmit a plurality of uplink grants for a plurality of uplink transmissions via a plurality of cells, wherein each uplink transmission of the plurality of uplink transmissions has a same starting position, and wherein the plurality of cells comprises a first cell and a second cell; and 
 receive, from a wireless device via the second cell, one or more transport blocks based on:
 a first listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure indicating that the first cell is clear; and 
 a second LBT procedure indicating that the second cell is clear.

The base station of  claim 37 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to configure the plurality of cells, wherein the first cell and the second cell operate in different unlicensed bands or different license assisted access (LAA) cell bands. 
     
     
         39 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to transmit, via a licensed cell, at least one uplink grant of the plurality of uplink grants. 
     
     
         40 . The base station of  claim 39 , wherein the at least one uplink grant is for at least one of:
 uplink transmission via the first cell; or   uplink transmission via the second cell.   
     
     
         41 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to receive the one or more transport blocks via the second cell after receiving a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         42 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein the plurality of cells comprises at least one of:
 an unlicensed cell; or   a license assisted access (LAA) cell.   
     
     
         43 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to receive, based on the first LBT procedure indicating a clear channel for the first cell of the plurality of cells, a second transport block via the first cell. 
     
     
         44 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein the second LBT procedure occurs immediately before uplink transmission via the first cell. 
     
     
         45 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein at least one uplink grant of the plurality of uplink grants causes the first LBT procedure and the second LBT procedure. 
     
     
         46 . The base station of  claim 37 , wherein a type of the first LBT procedure is different from a type of the second LBT procedure, and wherein the second LBT procedure is shorter than the first LBT procedure.
