Abstract

A pelvis exercising system including: a movable seat, sized and shaped to support a user by his pelvis; a vertical supporter which supports the seat above the ground; a flexible connector mounted between the vertical supporter and the seat; wherein, the seat comprises a front portion and a rear portion extending upwardly away from a central arch, each of the rear and front portions comprises a length which is long enough to support a front portion and rear portion of the user's pelvis, while not significantly restricting the abdomen and lower back from bending in relation to a sagittal plane of the seat. A sensor positioned to measure movement of said seat relative to a base, wherein the sensor provides measured values of the seat relative to the base to a processor; and the processor controls a device based on the measured values. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

         51 . A pelvis exercising system comprising:
 a seat;   a vertical support;   a vertical, flexible connector mounted between the vertical support and the seat enabling movement of the seat from a vertical position and providing a restoring force towards the vertical position; and   a locking prong configured to lock front-to-back movement of the seat when engaged with the vertical support.   
     
     
         52 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein a stiffness of the flexible connector is increased by decreasing a length by which the flexible connector extends beyond the vertical support. 
     
     
         53 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the flexible connector is a spring and wherein a stiffness of the flexible connector is increased by raising a portion of the vertical support into the spring. 
     
     
         54 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the locking prong is further configured to lock side-to-side swaying of the seat. 
     
     
         55 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the height of the vertical support is adjustable. 
     
     
         56 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the flexible connector enables up-and-down movement of the seat. 
     
     
         57 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the flexible connector enables clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of the seat. 
     
     
         58 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , further comprising a back strut configured to be pressed back by a user to engage the locking prong with the vertical support thereby locking the front-to-back movement of the seat. 
     
     
         59 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 58 , further comprising a back cushion connected to the back strut. 
     
     
         60 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the seat is saddle shaped. 
     
     
         61 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 51 , wherein the seat is above the ground at a height restricting feet of a user from touching the ground. 
     
     
         62 . A pelvis exercising system, comprising:
 a seat;   a vertical support;   a vertical spring that is mounted between the vertical support and the seat enabling movement of the seat from a vertical position and providing a restoring force towards the vertical position; and wherein extension of a portion of the vertical support into the spring is adjustable, such that increasing the extension into the spring increases a stiffness of the spring, thereby increasing resistance to movement of the seat.   
     
     
         63 . A pelvis exercising system comprising:
 a seat;   a base;   a flexible connector mounted between the base and the seat;   a processor;   a display; and   a sensor positioned to measure movement of the seat relative to the base, wherein the sensor transmits values of the seat movement to the processor, and the processor controls the display according to the values.   
     
     
         64 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 63 , wherein controlling the display comprises displaying a representation of the seat movement on the display. 
     
     
         65 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 63 , wherein controlling the display further comprises controlling a position of a cursor on the display. 
     
     
         66 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 63 , wherein controlling the display further comprises controlling game play, in a game displayed on the display, according to the seat movement. 
     
     
         67 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 63 , wherein the sensor comprises a least one sensor selected from a group consisting of: an inertial sensor; an accelerometer; a gyroscope; and a pressure sensor. 
     
     
         68 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 63 , wherein the sensor is an image sensor configured to detect a position and/or inclination of the body of the user, and wherein the processor is further configured to reconstruct an image of a selected part of the body of the user and/or the seat. 
     
     
         69 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 63 , further comprising displaying an inclination of the seat by a ball, wherein the movement of the ball is coupled to the movement of the seat by a peripheral channel which connects the ball with the seat. 
     
     
         70 . A pelvis exercising system comprising:
 a seat, sized and shaped to support a user by his pelvis, wherein the seat comprises a front portion and a rear portion extending upwardly away from a central arch, each of the rear and front portions comprises a length which is long enough to support a front portion and rear portion of the user's pelvis, while not restricting the abdomen and lower back from bending in relation to a sagittal plane of the seat, and wherein the front and rear portions are movable in relation to each other;   a vertical support that supports the seat above the ground;   a flexible connector mounted between the vertical support and the seat.   
     
     
         71 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 70 , wherein the flexible connector is configured to bend to an angle of between 10 to 120 degrees in relation to a longitudinal axis of the vertical support in response to forces of between 300 to 1200 Newtons (N), respectively. 
     
     
         72 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 70 , wherein the seat comprises at least two lateral portions, positioned on both sides of the central arch, wherein each of the lateral portions extends downwardly away from the arch wherein the lateral portions are movable in relation to each other. 
     
     
         73 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 70 , wherein the system comprises a peripheral frame positioned around the seat, and wherein the user is supported, at least in part, by one or more tensile elements of the peripheral frame that are connectable to the body of the user. 
     
     
         74 . The pelvis exercising system according to  claim 70 , wherein an inclination of the seat is actuated by at least one actuator associated with the seat and/or with the vertical support.
