Methods and systems for a reliable payment transaction
Abstract
Embodiments provide method and systems for determining connectivity information of payment network for a reliable payment transaction. The method includes receiving a connectivity information request before performing a payment transaction via payment network. The method includes generating a connectivity check message including a plurality of connectivity status flags associated with payment entities in payment network. The method includes sending the connectivity check message to the payment entities in a predefined sequence of a payment transaction flow in the payment network. The method further includes facilitating setting up the plurality of connectivity status flags based on a successful communication of the connectivity check message between the payment entities in the predefined sequence. The method includes determining if each of the plurality of connectivity status flags is set with the success state. Upon determining the success state, the method further includes generating a successful connectivity information for performing the payment transaction.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A server configured for checking network connectivity between the server and at least one payment entity server in a payment network, the server comprising:
a non-transitory memory comprising stored instructions and at least one processor configured to execute the stored instructions to cause the server to:
receive a connectivity information request from a merchant terminal, wherein the connectivity information request comprises payment cardholder information;
generate a payment transaction request based on the connectivity information request;
store the payment transaction request;
generate a connectivity check message, wherein the connectivity check message includes a plurality of status flags;
communicate the connectivity check message to a first payment entity server in the payment network;
determine an ability to successfully communicate the connectivity check message to the first payment entity server;
set a first of the status flags based on the determination of the ability to successfully communicate the connectivity check message to the first payment entity server;
receive the connectivity check message from a second payment entity server in the payment network;
check each of the status flags in the connectivity check message; and,
send connectivity information to the merchant terminal based on the checking of the status flags in the connectivity check message.
2 . The server as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the generate the connectivity check message includes presetting each of the status flags to a failure state.
3 . The server as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the connectivity check message includes an alphanumeric identifier indicating the connectivity check message is for checking conductivity.
4 . The server as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the status flags correspond to payment entity servers for processing the payment transaction request over the payment network.
5 . The server as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the status flags are arranged in a sequence corresponding to the processing of the payment transaction request over the payment network.
6 . The server as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the status flags is selectively one of: a first alphanumeric identifier representing a failed connection and a second alphanumeric identifier representing a successful connection.
7 . The server as claimed in claim 6 , wherein each of the status flags is preset to the first alphanumeric identifier.
8 . The server as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a second of the status flags is set based on the receiving of the connectivity check message from the second payment entity server in the payment network.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
