Device for Ventilating a Space and Corresponding Method
Abstract
A device and corresponding method for ventilating a space is provided. The device includes an air conditioning system that is adapted for conditioning recirculated and/or fresh air to be used for the ventilation of the space. The device also includes at least one air treatment means adapted for exposing the recirculated and/or fresh air to one or more of UVC, ozone and/or atomized detergents. Relative to an air stream, the air treatment means is positioned prior to the air conditioning system receiving the recirculated and/or fresh air, and/or prior to the air conditioning system releasing the air into the space.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A device for ventilating a space, comprising:
an air conditioning system adapted and configured for conditioning recirculated and/or fresh air to be used for the ventilation of the space, and at least one air treatment means adapted and configured for exposing the recirculated and/or fresh air to one or more of UVC, ozone and/or atomized detergents, relative to an air stream flowing to the air treatment means, the air treatment means being positioned prior to the air conditioning system receiving the recirculated and/or fresh air and/or prior to the air conditioning system releasing the air into the space.
2 . A method for ventilating a space with an air conditioning system, the method comprising the steps of:
extracting soiled air in the space by a first negative pressure acting on the soiled air; feeding the extracted soiled air to at least one filter to be cleaned with the at least one filter; exposing the filter to sterilization means to be sterilized by the sterilization means; and treating the air cleaned by the filter with at least one air treatment means, wherein the air treatment means treats the air prior to the air conditioning system receiving the air and/or after the air conditioning system releases the air into the space.
3 . The method of claim 2 wherein the step of exposing the filter to sterilization means includes exposing the filter to one or more of UVC, ozone and/or atomized detergents.
4 . The method of claim 2 further comprising pulling recirculated and/or fresh air into the space by generating a second negative pressure.
5 . The method of claim 4 further comprising forming within the space a first layer of soiled air and a second layer of recirculated and/or fresh air.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
