Claims

Abstract

A protective and sound-proofing casing adapted to attach to dishware is provided which includes an outer surface exposed to an environment and an inner surface disposed opposite to the outer surface and configured to snugly engage with a portion of the dishware. A protected and sound-proof dishware is also provided which includes a dishware body and a sound-proofing casing attached to the dishware. The casing may include an outer surface exposed to an environment and an inner surface disposed opposite to the outer surface and configured to snugly engage with a portion of the dishware body.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A protective and sound-proofing casing adapted to attach to dishware, said casing comprising:
 an outer surface exposed to an environment; and   an inner surface disposed opposite to said outer surface and configured to snugly engage with a portion of the dishware.   
     
     
         2 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said inner surface is configured to fixedly engage with the dishware. 
     
     
         3 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 2  wherein said inner surface is configured to fixedly engage with the dishware via an adhesive. 
     
     
         4 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said inner surface is configured to releasably engage with the dishware. 
     
     
         5 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said inner surface is configured to a dimension of the dishware. 
     
     
         6 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 5  wherein said dimension is a thickness of the dishware. 
     
     
         7 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said inner surface is configured to engage with an underside of the dishware. 
     
     
         8 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said inner surface is configured to engage with a topside of the dishware. 
     
     
         9 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said inner surface is configured to engage with a perimeter of the dishware. 
     
     
         10 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein the casing is comprised of a dishwasher safe material. 
     
     
         11 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein the casing is comprised of a cushioning material. 
     
     
         12 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein the casing is comprised of a material selected from the group consisting of foams, gels, and polymers. 
     
     
         13 . The protective and sound-proofing casing of  claim 1  wherein said casing is comprised of food-grade silicone. 
     
     
         14 . A protected and sound-proof dishware comprising:
 a dishware body; and   a sound-proofing casing attached to said dishware, said casing comprising an outer surface exposed to an environment and an inner surface disposed opposite to said outer surface and configured to snugly engage with a portion of said dishware body.   
     
     
         15 . The protected and sound-proof dishware of  claim 14  wherein said inner surface is configured to fixedly engage with said dishware body. 
     
     
         16 . The protected and sound-proof dishware of  claim 15  wherein said inner surface is configured to fixedly engage with said dishware body via an adhesive. 
     
     
         17 . The protected and sound-proof dishware of  claim 14  wherein said inner surface is configured to releasably engage with said dishware body. 
     
     
         18 . The protected and sound-proof dishware of  claim 14  wherein said inner surface is configured to a dimension of said dishware body. 
     
     
         19 . The protected and sound-proof dishware of  claim 18  wherein said dimension is a thickness of said dishware body.
