Product Management Display System

Abstract

A merchandise display system can include a front rail, at least one divider configured to engage the front rail, the at least one divider including a barrier. The at least one divider may also include a divider wall, and a roller carriage extending along the divider wall. The roller carriage can be provided with a plurality of rollers, and the roller carriage can be configured to advance the product. Additionally, the roller carriage can be tilted such that the product is configured to move toward the barrier. The roller carriage can be formed of a first portion and a second portion, and the roller carriage can be provided with a plurality of axles that are configured to receive the plurality of rollers such that the plurality of rollers are configured to rotate on the roller carriage. A method for forming a merchandise display system is also contemplated.

1 . A merchandise display system comprising:
 a front rail configured to mount to a shelf comprising at least a first engaging member;   an incline ramp;   at least one roller assembly supported by the incline ramp and configured to connect to the first engaging member of the front rail comprising a roller carriage having a plurality of rollers, the plurality of rollers being configured to advance product;   a barrier located on the roller assembly adjacent to an end of the roller carriage; and   a second engaging member connected to the at least one roller assembly and configured to move between a first position and a second position,   wherein the first engaging member engages the second engaging member.   
     
     
         2 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1  wherein the roller carriage is provided with a plurality of axles that are configured to receive the plurality of rollers such that the plurality of rollers are configured to rotate on the roller carriage. 
     
     
         3 . The merchandise display system of  claim 2  wherein the axles are tapered to receive the rollers. 
     
     
         4 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1  wherein the second engaging member comprises a cam. 
     
     
         5 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1   wherein the roller assembly is (a) movable in a lateral direction parallel to the front rail and (b) secured in a direction perpendicular to the front rail when the roller assembly is engaged with the front rail and the second engaging member is in the first position, and   wherein the roller assembly is (a) fixed in the lateral direction parallel to the front rail and (b) secured in the direction perpendicular to the front rail when the roller assembly is engaged with the front rail and the second engaging member is in the second position.   
     
     
         6 . The merchandise display system of  claim 5  wherein the second engaging member comprises a cam. 
     
     
         7 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1 , wherein the roller carriage is formed of a first portion and a second portion which together form a scalloped floor having a series of rounded portions configured to receive the rollers during assembly. 
     
     
         8 . The merchandise display system of  claim 7  wherein the first portion and the second portion of the roller carriage are provided with a plurality of fingers that are configured to engage to secure the first portion and the second portion of the roller carriage. 
     
     
         9 . The merchandise display system of  claim 7  wherein the first portion and the second portion are formed identically. 
     
     
         10 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1 , wherein the incline ramp includes a vertically extending leg for supporting the roller carriage and products on a shelf. 
     
     
         11 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1 , wherein the incline ramp is formed integrally with a divider. 
     
     
         12 . The merchandise display system of  claim 1 , wherein the incline ramp includes a recessed area for receiving the roller carriage.
