Abstract

A face shield device includes a lightweight, flexible and fluid impervious transparent shield body that is sized to cover an entirety of a human face. A headband is secured along the top of the shield, and a foam member is positioned along the top inside portion of the face shield. A safety lens is positioned within an elongated horizontal opening along the face shield at a location beneath the foam member. The safety lens is secured onto the face shield by a frame, and each of the face shield, the foam member and the safety lens include a curved shape. A neck enclosure that is constructed from a breathable mesh material is permanently or removably secured onto the outer edges of the face shield.

1 . A face shield device, consisting of:
 a shield body having a top end, a bottom end and a pair of side edges, said shield body being constructed from a single sheet of flexible and fluid impervious polyethylene terephthalate plastic;   a headband that extends outward from the top end of the shield body;   a forehead engaging surface that is positioned along the top end of the shield body;   an elongated opening that is positioned along the shield body;   a safety lens that is constructed from an impact resistant polycarbonate plastic, said safety lens being positioned within the elongated opening; and   a neck enclosure that is secured onto the shield body and the headband, said neck enclosure consisting of a top end, a bottom end, at least one side edge, and being constructed from at least one of a cotton material, a polyethylene material, a polyester material, a polypropylene material, or a nylon mesh,   wherein the top end of the neck enclosure is secured onto the headband, and wherein the at least one side edge of the neck enclosure is secured along an entire length of at least one of the pair of side edges of the shield body and along the bottom end of the shield body.
