Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for scheduling component activation. A computer-implemented method may include: detecting a first status of a head-mounted device with one or more physical computer processors; after a first time interval since detecting the first status, disabling a Wi-Fi component of the head-mounted device for a second time interval with the one or more physical computer processors; and after the second time interval, activating the Wi-Fi component for a third time interval with the one or more physical computer processors.

2 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
determining, by a computing system, a set of requests to be processed by a head-mounted device; predicting, by the computing system, that an importance of a first component of the head-mounted device is greater than an importance of a second component of the head-mounted device; disabling, by the computing system, the second component of the head-mounted device during a time interval; and processing, by the computing system, at least one request included in the set of requests during the time interval based at least in part on the first component.

The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the time interval is a second time interval associated with disabled components of the head-mounted device in a schedule, the schedule including a first time interval associated with detection of a status, the second time interval following the first time interval, and a third time interval following the second time interval associated with activated components of the head-mounted device.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the first time interval is dynamically changeable to a first time duration based on detection of a first event and to a second time duration based on detection of a second event.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the first event is associated with removal of the head-mounted device, the second event is associated with a display of the head-mounted device turning off, and the first time duration is greater than the second time duration.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein a time duration of the second time interval is based on at least one of time of day, day of week, or scheduled releases of information.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein a time duration of the third time interval is based on at least one of time of day, day of week, scheduled releases of information, or a number of requests to be processed by the head-mounted device.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the schedule repeats until interruption by another status, and
a first portion of the set of requests is performed during the third time interval and a second portion of the set of requests is performed during a subsequent time interval associated with activated components based on repetition of the schedule.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the second component is activated during the time interval based on receipt of a signal associated with activation of the second component.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the importance of the first component and the importance of the second component are determined based on at least one of predicted user experience or usage associated with the first component and the second component.
11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first component or the second component is a communication component, a connectivity component, a sensor, or an audio-visual component.
12 . A computing system comprising:
at least one processor; and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing system to perform: determining a set of requests associated with a head-mounted device to be processed; predicting that an importance of a first component of the head-mounted device is greater than an importance of a second component of the head-mounted device; disabling the second component of the head-mounted device during a time interval; and processing at least one request of the set of requests during the time interval based at least in part on the first component.

The computing system of claim 11 , wherein the time interval is a second time interval associated with disabled components of the head-mounted device in a schedule, the schedule including a first time interval associated with detection of a status, the second time interval following the first time interval, and a third time interval following the second time interval associated with activated components of the head-mounted device.
14 . The computing system of claim 12 , wherein the first time interval is dynamically changeable to a first time duration based on detection of a first event and to a second time duration based on detection of a second event.
15 . The computing system of claim 13 , wherein the first event is associated with removal of the head-mounted device, the second event is associated with a display of the head-mounted device turning off, and the first time duration is greater than the second time duration.
16 . The computing system of claim 12 , wherein a time duration of the second time interval is based on at least one of time of day, day of week, or scheduled releases of information.
17 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform a method comprising:
determining a set of requests associated with a head-mounted device to be processed; predicting that an importance of a first component of the head-mounted device is greater than an importance of a second component of the head-mounted device; disabling the second component of the head-mounted device during a time interval; and processing at least one request of the set of requests during the time interval based at least in part on the first component.

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the time interval is a second time interval associated with disabled components of the head-mounted device in a schedule, the schedule including a first time interval associated with detection of a status, the second time interval following the first time interval, and a third time interval following the second time interval associated with activated components of the head-mounted device.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the first time interval is dynamically changeable to a first time duration based on detection of a first event and to a second time duration based on detection of a second event.

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , wherein the first event is associated with removal of the head-mounted device, the second event is associated with a display of the head-mounted device turning off, and the first time duration is greater than the second time duration.
