Abstract

A media server provides access to digital media content within a third-party conversational messaging environment. The media server includes one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs, including instructions for: receiving, via an application programming interface (API), information from a user's interaction within a conversation of the third-party conversational messaging environment determining, via a recommendation engine, a recommended media item based on the user's interaction within the conversation; and providing, to a device of the user, the recommended media item based on the user's interaction with the conversation.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A media server that provides access to digital media content within a third-party conversational messaging environment, comprising:
 one or more processors; memory storing one or more programs, including instructions for:
 receiving, via an application programming interface (API), information from a user's interaction within a conversation of the third-party conversational messaging environment;
 determining, via a recommendation engine, a recommended media item based on the user's interaction within the conversation; and
 providing, to a device of the user, the recommended media item based on the user's interaction with the conversation.

         3 . The media server of claim 2 , wherein the instructions further include instructions for receiving, from a first media device of the user, an access request for the recommended media item that is distinct from the information received from the user's interaction within a conversation.

         4 . The media server of claim 3 , wherein the recommended media item is provided to the first media device of the user.

         5 . The media server of claim 2 , wherein the information is received from a third media device of the user and the recommended media item is provided to a fourth media device of the user that is distinct from the third media device.

         6 . The media server of claim 2 , wherein the recommended media item is provided without interaction from the third-party conversational messaging environment.

         7 . The media server of claim 2 , wherein the instructions further include instructions for providing notifications to the user that reflect the user's usage of the third-party conversational messaging environment.

         8 . The media server of claim 2 , wherein the instructions further include instructions for providing statistics to the user that reflect the user's usage of a digital media content environment.

         9 . A method, comprising:
 at a media server that provides access to digital media content within a third-party conversational messaging environment, the media server including one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs:
 receiving, via an application programming interface (API), information from a user's interaction within a conversation of the third-party conversational messaging environment;
 determining, via a recommendation engine, a recommended media item based on the user's interaction within the conversation;
 providing, to a device of the user, the recommended media item based on the user's interaction with the conversation.

         10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising, receiving, from a first media device of the user, an access request for the recommended media item that is distinct from the information received from the user's interaction within a conversation.

         11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the recommended media item is provided to the first media device of the user.

         12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the information is received from a third media device of the user and the recommended media item is provided to a fourth media device of the user that is distinct from the third media device.

         13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the recommended media item is provided without interaction from the third-party conversational messaging environment.

         14 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising providing notifications to the user that reflect the user's usage of the third-party conversational messaging environment.

         15 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising providing statistics to the user that reflect the user's usage of a digital media content environment.
