Abstract

A system providing diagnostic test results to a telemedicine provider includes a server coupled to a network and a memory coupled to the server. The server receives a diagnostic test identifier from a mobile device. The server determines diagnostic test results of a diagnostic test and determines if the diagnostic test results include a positive result. The server stores the diagnostic test results on the server disposed on the network. If the diagnostic test result is determined to include a positive result the server initiates a telemedicine conference between the mobile device and a telemedicine provider, sends the diagnostic test results from the server to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference and sends additional medical history information from the server to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method for providing diagnostic test results to a telemedicine provider, comprising:
 receiving a diagnostic test identifier from a mobile device, wherein the diagnostic test identifier is particular to a medical diagnostic testing device; determining, by a server disposed on a network, diagnostic test results of a diagnostic test responsive to the diagnostic test identifier; determining, by the server, if the diagnostic test results include a positive result; storing the diagnostic test results on the server; if the diagnostic test result is determined to include the positive result:
 initiating, by the server, a telemedicine conference between the mobile device and a telemedicine provider,
 sending the diagnostic test results that is determined to include the positive result to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference; and
 sending additional medical history information to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of sending the additional medical history information further comprises sending at least one of past medical records, history of the user, past test results, and insurance information.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of sending the diagnostic test results further comprises sending the diagnostic test results determined to include a positive test result to the telemedicine provider from the server.

         4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of sending the diagnostic test results further comprises sending the diagnostic test results determined to include a positive test result to the telemedicine provider from the mobile device.

         5 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of:
 correlating the test result with an appropriate medical code; and
 storing the medical code in association with the test result.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of initiating further comprises the step of initiating a video conference window within the mobile device to the telemedicine provider.

         7 . A system for providing diagnostic test results to a telemedicine provider, comprising:
 a server coupled to a network; a memory coupled to the server, the memory storing a plurality of instructions for execution by the server to configure the server to:
 receive a diagnostic test identifier from a mobile device, wherein the diagnostic test identifier is particular to a medical diagnostic testing device;
 determine diagnostic test results of a diagnostic test;
 determine if the diagnostic test results include a positive result;
 store the diagnostic test results on the server disposed on the network;
 if the diagnostic test result is determined to include a positive result:
 initiate, by the server, a telemedicine conference between the mobile device and a telemedicine provider,
 send the diagnostic test results that is determined to include the positive result from the server to the telemedicine responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference; and
 send additional medical history information from the server to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference.

         8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions further configure the server to send at least one of past medical records, history of the user, past test results, and insurance information.

         9 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions further configure the server to send the diagnostic test results determined to include a positive test result to the telemedicine provider from the server.

         10 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions further configure the server to send the diagnostic test results determined to include a positive test result to the telemedicine provider from the mobile device.

         11 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions further configure the server to:
 correlate the test result with an appropriate medical code; and store the medical code in association with the test result.

         12 . The system of claim 7 , wherein, wherein the instructions further configure the server to initiate a video conference window within the mobile device to the telemedicine provider.

         13 . A method, comprising:
 receiving an image of a diagnostic test from a mobile device, wherein the image of the diagnostic test is of a medical diagnostic testing device; determining, by a server disposed on a network, diagnostic test results of a diagnostic test responsive to the image of the diagnostic test; determining, by the server, if the diagnostic test results include a positive result; storing the diagnostic test results on the server; and initiating a telemedicine conference between the mobile device and a telemedicine provider responsive to a determination of the positive result of the diagnostic test result.

         14 . The method of claim 13 further including sending the diagnostic test results that is determined to include the positive result to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference.

         15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the step of sending the diagnostic test results further comprises sending the diagnostic test results determined to include a positive test result to the telemedicine provider from the server.

         17 . The method of claim 13 further including sending additional medical history information from the mobile device to the telemedicine provider responsive to initiation of the telemedicine conference.

         18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the step of sending the additional medical history information further comprises sending at least one of past medical records, history of the user, past test results, and insurance information.

         19 . The method of claim 13 further comprising the step of:
 correlating the test result with an appropriate medical code; and
 storing the medical code in association with the test result.

         20 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the step of initiating further comprises the step of initiating a video conference window within the mobile device to the telemedicine provider.
