Claims

Abstract

Disclosed in the embodiments of the disclosure are a method for transmitting data, a terminal device and a network device. The method includes: a terminal device sends a first request message to a network device, the first request message being for applying for carrying out session establishment involving N data flows in a first Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session; and the terminal device receives a response message sent by the network device in response to the first request message, the response message being for indicating that the network device rejects to carry out the session establishment involving M data flows of the N data flows in the first PDU session, the N and the M being both a positive integer, and the N being greater than or equal to the M. The method, the terminal device and the network device provided by the embodiments of the disclosure improve the performance of a communication system.

1 . A method for transmitting data, comprising:
 initiating, by a terminal device, establishment or modification of a first Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session to a network device according to a first rule in at least one rule in a UE Route Selection Policy (URSP) by sending a first request message to the network device according to the first rule, wherein the first request message is for requesting the network device to carry out, in the first PDU session, session establishment involving N data flows; and   receiving, by the terminal device, a response message sent by the network device in response to the first request message, wherein the response message is for indicating that the network device rejects to establish the first PDU session.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein each of the at least one rule has a precedence and includes an identifier (ID) the ID is configured for the terminal device to acquire a corresponding rule according to the identifier. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the first rule in the at least one rule comprises at least one parameter of following parameters:
 a Radio Access Technology (RAT);   a session and service continuity mode;   a Single-Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI);   a steering type; and   a Data Network Name (DNN).   
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the response message includes a rejection cause value, and the rejection cause value is for indicating:
 not supported session or service continuity mode, or   not supported DNN.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4 , further comprising:
 adjusting, by the terminal device, in response to the response message, a value of a parameter of the first rule corresponding to the rejection cause value; and   sending, by the terminal device, a second request message to the network device based on the adjusted value of the parameter of the first rule, wherein the second request message is for requesting establishment of a PDU session.   
     
     
         6 . A method for transmitting data, comprising:
 receiving, by a network device, a first request message that is sent by a terminal device according a first rule in at least one rule in a UE Route Selection Policy (URSP) to request the network device to carry out, in a first Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session, session establishment involving N data flows; and   sending, by the network device, a response message in response to the first request message to the terminal device, wherein the response message is for indicating that the network device rejects to establish the first PDU session.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , wherein each of the at least one rule has a precedence and includes an identifier (ID) the ID is configured for the terminal device to acquire a corresponding rule according to the identifier. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 6 , further comprising:
 sending, by the network device, segmentations of the URSP which comprises the at least one rule via a control plane,   wherein the network device is a Policy Control Function (PCF).   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein sending, by the network device, segmentations of the URSP which comprises the at least one rule via the control plane comprises:
 sending a group of rules through a message to the terminal device according to a precedence of each of the at least one rule after grouping the at least one rule.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein sending, by the network device, segmentations of the URSP which comprises the at least one rule via the control plane comprises:
 sending the segmentations of the URSP which comprises the at least one rule to the terminal device.   
     
     
         11 . A terminal device, comprising:
 an input interface;   an output interface; and   a processor, connected to the input interface and the output interface, and configured to control the input interface and the output interface to receive and send information;   wherein the processor is configured to initiate establishment or modification of a first Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session to a network device according to a first rule in at least one rule in a UE Route Selection Policy (URSP) by sending a first request message to the network device according to the first rule, wherein the first request message is for requesting the network device to carry out, in the first PDU session, session establishment involving N data flows; and   the input interface is configured to receive a response message which is sent by the network device in response to the first request message, wherein the response message is for indicating that the network device rejects to establish the first PDU session.   
     
     
         12 . The terminal device of  claim 11 , wherein the input interface is further configured to receive segmentations of the URSP which comprises at least one rule from the network device via a control plane, the network device being a Policy Control Function (PCF). 
     
     
         13 . The terminal device of  claim 12 , wherein the input interface is further configured to:
 receive a group of rules through a message from the PCF after the at least one rule are grouped by the PCF.   
     
     
         14 . The terminal device of  claim 12 , wherein the input interface is further configured to:
 receive the segmentations of the URSP which comprises the at least one rule from the PCF that initiatively sends the at least one rule according to a precedence of each of the at least one rule.   
     
     
         15 . The terminal device of  claim 11 , wherein each of the at least one rule has a precedence and includes an identifier (ID) the ID is configured for the terminal device to acquire a corresponding rule according to the identifier. 
     
     
         16 . A network device, comprising:
 an input interface;   an output interface; and   a processor, connected to the input interface and the output interface, and configured to control the input interface and the output interface to receive and send information;   wherein the input interface is configured to receive a first request message that is sentby a terminal device according a first rule in at least one rule in a User Equipment (UE) Route Selection Policy (URSP) to request the network device to carry out, in a first Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session, session establishment involving N data flows; and   the output interface is configured to send a response message in response to the first request message to the terminal device, wherein the response message is for indicating that the network device rejects to establish the first PDU session.   
     
     
         17 . The network device of  claim 16 , wherein the response message includes a rejection cause value, and the rejection cause value is for indicating:
 not supported session or service continuity mode, or   not supported Data Network Name, DNN.   
     
     
         18 . The network device of  claim 17 , wherein the input interface is further configured to:
 receive a second request message from the terminal device, wherein the second request message is sent by the terminal device based on an adjusted value of a parameter of the first rule corresponding to the rejection cause value and is for requesting establishment of a PDU session.   
     
     
         19 . The network device of  claim 16 , wherein each of the at least one rule has a precedence and includes an identifier (ID) the ID is configured for the terminal device to acquire a corresponding rule according to the identifier. 
     
     
         20 . The network device of  claim 16 , wherein the output interface is configured to:
 send segmentations of the URSP which comprises the at least one rule via a control plane,   wherein the network device is a Policy Control Function (PCF).
