Code trigger telemedicine session
Abstract
A system for establishing a telemedicine session with a patient includes a server in communication with at least one remote device. The server authenticates a testing package containing a testing device responsive to a first code and an authentication code associated with the testing package. The server receives the first code for the authenticated testing package. The server initiates a telemedicine session for the authenticated testing package responsive to receipt of the first code for the authenticated testing package. The server receives an image of the testing device from the authenticated testing package. The image including a second code identifying the testing device performing a test. The server determines a test result of a medical condition associated with the patient responsive to the received image of the testing device and the second code, stores the test result within a database entry associated with the first code and completes the telemedicine session.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for establishing a telemedicine session with a patient, comprising:
receiving a first code associated with a testing package containing a testing device at a server; establishing a database entry associated with the first code; generating an authentication code responsive to at least the first code to authenticate a physician patient relationship at the server; authenticating the testing package containing the testing device responsive to the first code associated with the testing package and the authentication code at the server; receiving the first code for the authenticated testing package; initiating a telemedicine session for the authenticated testing package responsive to receipt of the first code for the authenticated testing package; receiving an image of the testing device from the authenticated testing package, the image including at least one second code identifying the testing device performing a test; determining a test result of a medical condition associated with the patient responsive to the received image of the testing device and the at least one second code; storing the test result within the database entry; and completing the telemedicine session.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of receiving further comprises receiving a first second code identifying a type of testing device within the testing package.
3 . The method of claim 2 further comprising:
locating instructions for using the testing device responsive to the first second code; and
transmitting the instructions to the patient performing the test with the testing device.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the at least one second code comprises a further second identifier that identifies the particular testing device performing the test.
5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the step of determining further comprises determining the test result responsive to the received image and the identified particular testing device.
6 . The method of Claim further comprising the steps of:
accessing a database of questions to ask a patient responsive to receipt of the first code; presenting the questions to the patient; and receiving answers to the questions.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the step of generating the authentication code further comprises the step of authenticating the testing package responsive to the received answers to the questions.
8 . A method for establishing a telemedicine session with a patient, comprising:
authenticating a testing package containing a testing device responsive to a first code and an authentication code associated with the testing package receiving the first code for the authenticated testing package; initiating a telemedicine session for the authenticated testing package responsive to receipt of the first code for the authenticated testing package; receiving an image of the testing device from the authenticated testing package, the image including a second code identifying the testing device performing a test; determining a test result of a medical condition associated with the patient responsive to the received image of the testing device and the second code; storing the test result within a database entry associated with the first code; and completing the telemedicine session.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the step of receiving further comprises receiving a third code identifying a type of testing device within the testing package.
10 . The method of claim 9 further comprising:
locating instructions for using the testing device responsive to the third code; and
transmitting the instructions to the patient performing the test with the testing device.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the second code identifies the particular testing device performing the test.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the step of determining further comprises determining the test result responsive to the received image and the identified particular testing device.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the step of authenticating further includes the steps of:
receiving a first code associated with a testing package containing a testing device at a server; establishing a database entry associated with the first code; generating an authentication code responsive to at least the first code to authenticate a physician patient relationship at the server; and authenticating the testing package containing the testing device responsive to the first code associated with the testing package and the authentication code at the server.
14 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising the steps of:
accessing a database of questions to ask a patient responsive to receipt of the first code; presenting the questions to the patient; and receiving answers to the questions.
15 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the step of generating the authentication code further comprises the step of authenticating the testing package responsive to the received answers to the questions.
16 . A system for establishing a telemedicine session with a patient, comprising:
a server in communication with at least one remote device, the server configured to:
authenticate a testing package containing a testing device responsive to a first code and an authentication code associated with the testing package
receive the first code for the authenticated testing package;
initiate a telemedicine session for the authenticated testing package responsive to receipt of the first code for the authenticated testing package;
receive an image of the testing device from the authenticated testing package, the image including a second code identifying the testing device performing a test;
determine a test result of a medical condition associated with the patient responsive to the received image of the testing device and the second code;
store the test result within a database entry associated with the first code; and
complete the telemedicine session.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the server is further configured to receive a third code identifying a type of testing device within the testing package.
18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the server is further configured to:
locate instructions for using the testing device responsive to the third code; and transmit the instructions to the patient performing the test with the testing device.
19 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the server is further configured to:
receive a first code associated with a testing package containing a testing device at a server; establish a database entry associated with the first code; generate an authentication code responsive to at least the first code to authenticate a physician patient relationship at the server; and authenticate the testing package containing the testing device responsive to the first code associated with the testing package and the authentication code at the server.
20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the server is further configured to:
access a database of questions to ask a patient responsive to receipt of the first code; present the questions to the patient; receive answers to the questions; and generate the authentication code responsive to the answers to the questions.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
