Storage Container for Canned Drinks

Abstract

A storage container for canned drinks includes a vessel body having a top opening and multiple bosses formed on an inner periphery of the vessel body; and a clamping mechanism releasably connected to the vessel body and having a collar, a skirt integrally extending outward from a side of the collar to fit into a space inside the vessel body from the top opening, two openings communicating with the top opening and with one another, multiple support bars formed on an inner periphery of the vessel body for clamping a neck of the canned drink and multiple locking bars firmly formed on an outer periphery of the skirt to correspond to and releasably connect to the bosses of the vessel body to secure engagement between the clamping mechanism and the vessel body.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A storage container for canned drinks, the storage container comprising:
 a vessel body having a top opening and multiple bosses formed on an inner periphery of the vessel body; and   a clamping mechanism releasably connected to the vessel body and having a collar, a skirt integrally extending outward from a side of the collar to fit into a space inside the vessel body from the top opening, two openings communicating with the top opening and with one another, multiple support bars formed on an inner periphery of the vessel body for clamping a neck of the canned drink and multiple locking bars firmly formed on an outer periphery of the skirt to correspond to and releasably connect to the bosses of the vessel body to secure engagement between the clamping mechanism and the vessel body.   
     
     
         2 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 1  having a height adapted to be shorter than that of the canned drink to ensure a part of the canned drink is exposed. 
     
     
         3 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein each of the locking bars is provided with a vertical bar integrally formed on an outer periphery of the skirt and transverse bar integrally formed with the vertical bar, wherein the transverse bar is tapered such that engagement between the transverse bars and the bosses becomes tighter and tighter as the clamping mechanism is rotated relative to the vessel body and the rotational movement of the clamping mechanism relative to the vessel body is stopped by the vertical bars.

The storage container as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein each of the locking bars is provided with a vertical bar integrally formed on an outer periphery of the skirt and transverse bar integrally formed with the vertical bar, wherein the transverse bar is tapered such that engagement between the transverse bars and the bosses becomes tighter and tighter as the clamping mechanism is rotated relative to the vessel body and the rotational movement of the clamping mechanism relative to the vessel body is stopped by the vertical bars. 
     
     
         5 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the clamping mechanism further has an elastic rim formed with the collar to help further clamp the canned drink. 
     
     
         6 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 3 , wherein the clamping mechanism further has an elastic rim formed with the collar to help further clamp the canned drink. 
     
     
         7 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 3 , wherein the support bars are elastic. 
     
     
         8 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein the support bars are elastic. 
     
     
         9 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 1  further has a liner, a shell surrounding the liner and a vacuum space sandwiched between the shell and the liner to further isolate heat from ambient air. 
     
     
         10 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 3  further having a liner, a shell surrounding the liner and a vacuum space sandwiched between the shell and the liner to further isolate heat from ambient air. 
     
     
         11 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 6  further having a liner, a shell surrounding the liner and a vacuum space sandwiched between the shell and the liner to further isolate heat from ambient air. 
     
     
         12 . The storage container as claimed in  claim 8  further having a liner, a shell surrounding the liner and a vacuum space sandwiched between the shell and the liner to further isolate heat from ambient air.
