Abstract
The oar-carrying device is a mechanical structure. The oar-carrying device is adapted for use with a client. The oar-carrying device is configured for use with one or more oars. The oar-carrying device suspends the one or more oars from the client. Specifically, the one or more oars: a) are carried by the client; or, b) the one or more oars are suspended from a shoulder of the client. The oar-carrying device incorporates a load bearing strap structure and a securing structure. The securing structure attaches to the load bearing strap structure. The securing structure secures the one or more oars to the load bearing strap structure. The load bearing strap structure suspends the one or more oars form the client.

a load bearing strap structure and a securing structure; wherein the securing structure attaches to the load bearing strap structure; wherein the oar-carrying device is a mechanical structure; wherein the oar-carrying device is adapted for use with a client in order to carry one or more oars; wherein the oar-carrying device suspends the one or more oars from the client; wherein the securing structure secures the one or more oars to the load bearing strap structure; wherein the load bearing strap structure suspends the one or more oars from the client.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 1 wherein the load bearing strap structure is a textile structure; wherein the load bearing strap structure is a flexible structure; wherein the load bearing strap structure has an inelastic nature; wherein the load bearing strap structure forms the load path that transfers the load of the one or more oars to the client.
3 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 2 wherein the securing structure is a fastening device; wherein the securing structure attaches to the load bearing strap structure; wherein the securing structure secures the one or more oars to the load bearing strap structure;
4 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 3 wherein the load bearing strap structure comprises a webbing, a coating, and a shoulder strap; wherein the coating is applied to the webbing; wherein the shoulder strap attaches to the webbing.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 4 wherein the securing structure comprises a first carabiner and a second carabiner; wherein the first carabiner is a fastening device; wherein the second carabiner is a fastening device; wherein the first carabiner binds the load bearing strap structure to the one or more oars; wherein the second carabiner binds the load bearing strap structure to the one or more oars.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 5 wherein the webbing is a textile structure; wherein the webbing forms the primary load bearing structure of the load bearing strap structure; wherein the webbing is a flexible structure; wherein the webbing has a tensile strength but does not have a compressive strength.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 6 wherein the webbing comprises a first end, a second end, a first loop, and a second loop; wherein the first end is the edge of the perimeter of the face of the webbing with the shortest span of length; wherein the second end is the edge of the perimeter of the face of the webbing that is distal from the first end; wherein the first loop is the loop structure formed when the first end is looped around the one or more oars; wherein the first loop forms a portion of the load path that transfers the load of the one or more oars to the webbing; wherein the second loop is the loop structure formed when the second end is looped around the one or more oars; wherein the second loop forms a portion of the load path that transfers the load of the one or more oars to the webbing.
8 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 7 wherein the coating is a chemical; wherein the coating is applied to the exterior surfaces of the webbing as a coating; wherein the coating is a polyurethane based compound; wherein the coating enhances the hydrophobic nature of the webbing.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 8 wherein the coating provides protection against degradation of the webbing from ultraviolet radiation; wherein the coating is an antimicrobial structure; wherein by antimicrobial is meant that the coating has a pharmacologically active media structure that poisons the biological functions of microorganisms; wherein the pharmacologically active media structure formed by the coating has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
10 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 9 wherein the shoulder strap is a cushion; wherein the shoulder strap attaches to the webbing; wherein the shoulder strap is a pad; wherein the shoulder strap is an elastomeric structure.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 10 wherein the first carabiner attaches to the first end of the webbing; wherein the first carabiner secures the first end of the webbing to itself after the webbing is looped around the one or more oars; wherein the second carabiner attaches to the second end of the webbing; wherein the second carabiner secures the second end of the webbing to itself after the webbing is looped around the one or more oars.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 11 wherein the coating further comprises 1H-benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7); wherein the 1H-benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7) is a chemical that permeates the polyurethane compound of the coating of the load bearing strap structure; wherein the 1H-benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7) provides the protection against the degradation of the webbing from ultraviolet radiation.
13 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 12 wherein the coating further comprises 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5); wherein the 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5) is a chemical that permeates the polyurethane compound of the coating of the load bearing strap structure; wherein the 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5) provides the antifungal properties of the coating; wherein the 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5) provides the antibacterial properties of the coating.
14 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 11 wherein the first carabiner further comprises a first strap slot; wherein the first strap slot is a slot that is formed through the first carabiner; wherein the first strap slot provides an anchor point that allows the webbing to loop around the first carabiner before the first seam secures the webbing to itself; wherein the first strap slot is sized such that the first end of the webbing will insert through the first strap slot.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 14 wherein the second carabiner further comprises second strap slot; wherein the second strap slot is a slot that is formed through the second carabiner; wherein the second strap slot provides an anchor point that allows the webbing to loop around the second carabiner before the second seam secures the webbing to itself; wherein the second strap slot is sized such that the second end of the webbing will insert through the second strap slot.
16 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 15 wherein the first loop further comprises a first seam; wherein the first seam is a radio frequency seam; wherein the first end inserts through the first strap slot of the first carabiner and then folds back on itself such that a face of the textile structure of the webbing is secured to itself; wherein the second loop further comprises a second seam; wherein the second seam is a radio frequency seam; wherein the second end inserts through the second strap slot of the second carabiner and then folds back on itself such that a face of the textile structure of the webbing is secured to itself.
17 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 16 wherein the webbing is a hydrophobic structure;
wherein the webbing is formed with a break strength of greater than 999 pounds;
wherein the applicant prefers that the webbing is formed with polyester yarns.

The oar-carrying device according to claim 17 wherein the coating further comprises 1H-benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7); wherein the 1H-benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7) is a chemical that permeates the polyurethane compound of the coating of the load bearing strap structure; wherein the 1H-benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7) provides the protection against the degradation of the webbing from ultraviolet radiation.
19 . The oar-carrying device according to claim 18 wherein the coating further comprises 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5); wherein the 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5) is a chemical that permeates the polyurethane compound of the coating of the load bearing strap structure; wherein the 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5) provides the antifungal properties of the coating; wherein the 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol (CAS 3380-34-5) provides the antibacterial properties of the coating.
