Freehand Memo Gift Authentication
Abstract
A memo and gift authenticating system comprises a touch input device configured for input by a user. The memo and gift authenticating system comprises at least one processor. The memo and gift authenticating system comprises a non-transitory tangible machine readable medium. The non-transitory tangible machine readable medium comprises instructions configured to cause the at least one processor to capture a freehand memo employing the touch input device, store the freehand memo in a data storage device, receive gift data corresponding to a gift, store the gift data in the data storage device, and associate the freehand memo with the gift data in the data storage device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A memo and gift authentication system comprising:
a) a touch input device configured to accept input by a user; b) at least one processor; and c) a non-transitory tangible machine readable medium comprising instructions configured to cause the at least one processor to:
i) capture a freehand memo employing the touch input device, the freehand memo addressed to a recipient other than the user;
ii) store the freehand memo in a data storage device;
iii) receive gift data corresponding to a gift intended for the recipient;
iv) store the gift data in the data storage device; and
v) associate the freehand memo with the gift data in the data storage device, whereby the freehand memo is authenticated through association with the at least a portion of the gift data.
2 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the gift comprises at least one of the following:
a) a digital gift card; b) a gift purchase confirmation; or c) a gift action for the recipient.
3 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the gift data comprises at least one of the following:
a) a gift image; b) a gift hyperlink; c) a gift tracking number; d) a gift barcode; e) a gift QR code; or f) a gift alphanumeric code.
4 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the gift data is received from one of the following:
a) a merchant system; b) a merchant exchange carrier system; or c) a gift card provider system.
5 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the at least one processor to prompt the user to purchase the gift.
6 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the at least one processor to communicate payment information for the gift to a payment processor.
7 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the at least one processor to communicate payment information for part of the gift to a payment processor.
8 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the gift is associated with a gift registry.
9 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the at least one processor to communicate the freehand memo with the gift data to the recipient.
10 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the at least one processor to communicate the freehand memo with the gift data to a central storage device.
11 . A memo and gift authenticating method comprising:
a) capturing a freehand memo employing a touch input device configured to accept input by a user, the freehand memo addressed to a recipient other than the user; b) storing the freehand memo, employing at least one processor, in a data storage device; c) receiving gift data corresponding to a gift intended for the recipient; d) storing the gift data in the data storage device; and e) associating the freehand memo with the gift data in the data storage device, whereby the freehand memo is authenticated through association with the at least a portion of the gift data.
12 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising prompting the user to purchase the gift.
13 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising communicating payment information for the gift to a payment processor.
14 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising communicating payment information for part of the gift to a payment processor.
15 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising communicating the freehand memo with the gift data to the recipient.
16 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising communicating the freehand memo with the gift data to a central storage device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
