Skin therapy systems

Abstract

The disclosed invention provides a skin therapy system for skin conditioning or treatment of a body part. The skin therapy system includes a body part shaped encaser including a first and second film substrate and an encaser liner disposed between the first and second film substrates. An outer peripheral edge of the encaser liner is sealed between outer peripheral edges of the first and second film substrates to create a hermetic seal forming a first fillable space between the first film substrate and a first layer of the encaser liner, a second fillable space between the second film substrate and a second layer of the encaser liner, and an internal volume defined by the first and second layers of the encaser liner and disposed between the first and second fillable spaces. The skin therapy system further includes a therapeutic composition contained within the first and second fillable spaces.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A skin therapy system for skin conditioning or treatment of a body part, comprising:
 a body part shaped encaser having an interior space;   an encaser liner disposed in the interior space of the encaser, wherein the encaser liner has an internal volume configured to receive the body part, and wherein an inner surface of the encaser and an outer surface of the encaser liner are configured to define a fillable space and are connected at a cuff of the encaser; and   a therapeutic composition contained within the fillable space, wherein the encaser liner is permeable to one or more ingredients of the therapeutic composition.   
     
     
         2 . The skin therapy system of  claim 1  wherein the an inner surface of the encaser and an outer surface of the encaser liner are further connected at one or more fingertips. 
     
     
         3 . The skin therapy system of  claim 1  wherein the encaser liner includes polypropylene fabric. 
     
     
         4 . The skin therapy system of  claim 1  wherein the encaser liner includes non-woven polypropylene fabric. 
     
     
         5 . The skin therapy system of  claim 1  further comprising at least one temperature indicator formed on the encaser to visually indicate an approximate temperature of the therapeutic composition. 
     
     
         6 . The skin therapy system of  claim 5  wherein the temperature indicator is disposed on an exterior surface of the encaser. 
     
     
         7 . The skin therapy system of  claim 5  wherein the temperature indicator is located on the inner surface of the encaser. 
     
     
         8 . The skin therapy system of  claim 5  wherein the temperature indicator includes one or more thermochromatic patches or stickers. 
     
     
         9 . The skin therapy system of  claim 5  wherein the temperature indicator has one or more forms selected from a group consisting of a coating, a strip, a sticker, a label, and a tape. 
     
     
         10 . The skin therapy system of  claim 1  wherein the encaser liner has the same shape as the body part shaped encaser.
