Bed sheets

Abstract

A bed sheet is provided that includes top, side and end panels. Adjacent ends of the side and end panels are joined to form a seam at a corner of the sheet. The side and end panels each have a lower edge that is spaced apart from the top panel. At least one of the corners includes a power band having a first side that extends from a portion of the lower edge of one of the end panels to one of the seams. A second side of the power band extends from a portion of the lower edge of one of the side panels to the one of the seams. A third side of the power band extends from the portion of the lower edge of the one of the end panels to the portion of the lower edge of the one of the side panels.

         21 . A bed covering comprising:
 a top panel, opposite first and second side panels and opposite first and second end panels, the side panels and the end panels each being coupled to the top panel and including a lower edge that is spaced apart from the top panel, the end panels extending between the side panels to space the first side panel apart from the second side panel, the panels being continuous such that there are no seams between the top panel and the first side panel, no seams between the top panel and the second side panel, no seams between the top panel and the first end panel and no seams between the top panel and the second end panel,   wherein the covering includes a strip that extends from a portion of the lower edge of one of the end panels to a portion of the lower edge of one of the side panels.   
     
     
         22 . The bed covering recited in  claim 21 , wherein at least one of the panels comprises a fabric having a top layer, a bottom layer and a middle layer between the top layer and the bottom layer. 
     
     
         23 . The bed covering recited in  claim 22 , wherein the fabric is a performance fabric. 
     
     
         24 . The bed covering recited in  claim 22 , wherein the fabric is a circular knit fabric. 
     
     
         25 . The bed covering recited in  claim 22 , wherein the top layer is less dense than the bottom layer. 
     
     
         26 . The bed covering recited in  claim 25 , wherein the fabric is a performance fabric. 
     
     
         27 . The bed covering recited in  claim 25 , wherein the fabric is a circular knit fabric. 
     
     
         28 . The bed covering recited in  claim 22 , wherein the top layer comprises a plurality of spaced apart ports per square inch. 
     
     
         29 . The bed covering recited in  claim 28 , wherein the fabric is a performance fabric. 
     
     
         30 . The bed covering recited in  claim 28 , wherein the fabric is a circular knit fabric. 
     
     
         31 . The bed covering recited in  claim 22 , wherein the middle layer links the top layer to the bottom layer. 
     
     
         32 . The bed covering recited in  claim 31 , wherein the middle layer is less dense than the bottom layer. 
     
     
         33 . The bed covering recited in  claim 21 , wherein the side and end panels opposite inner and outer surfaces, the inner surfaces defining a cavity configured for disposal of a mattress. 
     
     
         34 . The bed covering recited in  claim 21 , wherein interfaces between the top panel, the side panels and the end panels define corners of the covering, the strip being spaced apart from the corners. 
     
     
         35 . The bed covering recited in  claim 21 , wherein a first end of the strip directly engages the portion of the lower edge of the one of the end panels and an opposite second end of the strip directly engages the portion of the lower edge of the one of the side panels. 
     
     
         36 . The bed covering recited in  claim 34 , wherein the first end is permanently fixed to the lower edge of the one of the end panels and the second end is permanently fixed to the lower edge of the one of the side panels. 
     
     
         37 . The bed covering recited in  claim 21 , wherein the strip is a first strip extending from the first end panel to the first side panel, the covering comprising a second strip that extends from the second end panel to the first side panel. 
     
     
         38 . The bed covering recited in  claim 21 , wherein the strip comprises an elastic material. 
     
     
         39 . A bed covering comprising:
 a top panel, opposite first and second side panels and opposite first and second end panels, the side panels and the end panels each being coupled to the top panel and including a lower edge that is spaced apart from the top panel, the end panels extending between the side panels to space the first side panel apart from the second side panel, the panels being continuous such that there are no seams between the top panel and the first side panel, no seams between the top panel and the second side panel, no seams between the top panel and the first end panel and no seams between the top panel and the second end panel,   a first strip extending from the lower edge of the first end panel to the lower edge of the first side panel; and   a second strip extending from the lower edge of the second end panel to the lower edge of the first side panel,   wherein at least one of the panels comprises a fabric having a top layer, a bottom layer and a middle layer between the top layer and the bottom layer, the top layer comprising a plurality of spaced apart ventilation ports per square inch.   
     
     
         40 . A bed covering comprising:
 a top panel, opposite first and second side panels and opposite first and second end panels, the side panels and the end panels each being coupled to the top panel and including a lower edge that is spaced apart from the top panel, the end panels extending between the side panels to space the first side panel apart from the second side panel, the panels being continuous such that there are no seams between the top panel and the first side panel, no seams between the top panel and the second side panel, no seams between the top panel and the first end panel and no seams between the top panel and the second end panel,   a first strip extending from the lower edge of the first end panel to the lower edge of the first side panel;   a second strip extending from the lower edge of the second end panel to the lower edge of the first side panel;   a third strip extending from the lower edge of the first end panel to the lower edge of the second side panel; and   a fourth strip extending from the lower edge of the second end panel to the lower edge of the second side panel,   wherein at least one of the panels comprises a fabric having a top layer, a bottom layer and a middle layer between the top layer and the bottom layer, the top layer comprising a plurality of spaced apart per square inch.
