Abstract

Provided are body corrective cosmetic formulations and methods of use thereof.

         110 . A two-part kit for application of a body corrective formulation to skin comprising:
 a. as the first part, a reactive reinforcing component comprising
 i. a reactive constituent comprising at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane and at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane, 
   wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane comprises vinyl groups; and
 ii. a reinforcing constituent; 
   b. as the second part, a cross-linking component comprising a platinum catalyst; and
 wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane has a viscosity of between about 110,000 and about 450,000 cSt or cP at 25° C.; and the reactive reinforcing component has a viscosity of between about 5,000 and 1,000,000 cSt or cP at 25° C.; and 
 wherein the cross-linking component catalyzes a cross-linking reaction of the formulation to form a film in situ on the skin, characterized in that the formation of the film is substantially complete within about five minutes following application onto the skin of a human subject at ambient temperature; and 
 wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane is a polymer of formula IIa and the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane is a polymer of formula III: 
   
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         
           wherein: 
         
         R 1a′ , R 3a′ , R 4a′ , R 5a′ , R 6a′ , R 8a′ , R 9a′  and R 10a′  are each independently C 1-20  alkyl, C 2-20  alkenyl, C 5-10  aryl, hydroxyl, or C 1-20  alkoxyl; 
         p and q are each independently an integer from between 10 and 6000; 
         R 1b , R 2b , R 3b , R 6b , R 7b , and R 8b , are C 1-20  alkyl; 
         R 4b , R 5b , R 9b , and R 10b  are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1-20  alkyl, C 2-20  alkenyl, C 5-10  aryl, hydroxyl, and C 1-20  alkoxyl; 
         wherein at least two of R 4b , R 5b , R 9b , and R 10b  are hydrogen; and 
         m and n are each independently an integer from between 10 and 6000;
 wherein the kit further comprises instructions for use of the kit. 
 
       
     
     
         111 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane has a viscosity of between about 120,000 and about 400,000 cSt or cP at 25° C.

The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane is selected from the group consisting of vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane; vinyl terminated diphenylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers; vinyl terminated polyphenylmethylsiloxane, vinylphenylmethyl terminated vinylphenylsiloxane-phenylmethylsiloxane copolymer; vinyl terminated trifluoropropylmethylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymer; vinyl terminated diethyl siloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymer; vinylmethylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymer, trimethylsiloxy terminated; vinylmethylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers, silanol terminated; vinylmethylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers, vinyl terminated; vinyl gums; vinylmethylsiloxane homopolymers; vinyl T-structure polymers; monovinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxanes; vinylmethylsiloxane terpolymers; vinylmethoxysilane homopolymers; and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         113 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane is vinyl terminated. 
     
     
         114 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane is vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane. 
     
     
         115 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane has a weight percent of vinyl of between about 0.01 and about 0.3. 
     
     
         116 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the cross-linking component further comprises a vinyl terminated organopolysiloxane. 
     
     
         117 . The kit of claim  7 , wherein the vinyl terminated organopolysiloxane is less than about 50% by weight of the cross-linking component.

The kit of claim  7 , wherein the vinyl terminated organopolysiloxane is selected from the group consisting of vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane; vinyl terminated diphenyl siloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers; vinyl terminated polyphenylmethylsiloxane, vinylphenylmethyl terminated vinylphenylsiloxane-phenylmethylsiloxane copolymer; vinyl terminated trifluoropropylmethylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymer; vinyl terminated diethyl siloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymer; vinylmethylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers, vinyl terminated; monovinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxanes; and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         119 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane has a viscosity of between about 5 and 11,000 cSt or cP at 25° C. 
     
     
         120 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane has a SiH content of between about 0.5 and about 10 mmol/g. 
     
     
         121 . The kit of claim  1  wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane is selected from the group consisting of hydride terminated polydimethylsiloxane; polyphenyl-(dimethylhydrosiloxy)siloxane, hydride terminated; methylhydrosiloxane-phenylmethylsiloxane copolymer, hydride terminated; methylhydrosiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers, trimethylsiloxy terminated; polymethylhydrosiloxanes, trimethylsiloxy terminated; polyethylhydrosiloxane, triethylsiloxane, methylhydrosiloxane-phenyloctylmethylsiloxane copolymer; methylhydrosiloxane-phenyloctylmethylsiloxane terpolymer; and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         122 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane is alkyl terminated. 
     
     
         123 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane is methylhydrosiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymers, trimethylsiloxy terminated. 
     
     
         124 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane has at least 2 Si—H units. 
     
     
         125 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane has at least 3 Si—H units. 
     
     
         126 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the reinforcing constituent has a surface area of between about 100 and about 300 m 2 /g. 
     
     
         127 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the reinforcing constituent has an average particle size of between about 1 and about 20 μm. 
     
     
         128 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the reinforcing constituent is selected from the group consisting of optionally surface treated mica, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide, clay, and silica.

The kit of claim  1 , wherein the reactive reinforcing component and/or cross-linking further comprises one or more of feel modifiers, spreadability enhancers, adhesion modifiers, diluents, tack modifiers, optics modifiers, particles, volatile siloxanes, emulsifiers, emollients, surfactants, thickeners, solvents, film formers, humectants, preservatives, and pigments. 
     
     
         137 . The kit of claim  1 , wherein the reactive reinforcing component and the cross-linking component are prevented from coming into contact prior to use.
