Hair Styling Tool

Abstract

A hair styling tool that a base member with a body pad attached to the base member. The body pad can be a foam brush member with a plurality of holes formed therein. A plurality of hair shapers can be disposed in the holes of the body pad. The hair shapers can extend outward from respective ones of the plurality of holes or be members disposed at least partially inside the plurality of holes. The hair styling tool can cut the time in more than half to achieve desired results, allowing a user to achieve hair coils, curls, and/or starting of dread locks in fraction of the time as compared to conventional hair styling tools.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A hair styling tool comprising:
 a base member;   a body pad attached to the base member;   a plurality of holes formed in the body pad;   a plurality of hair shapers disposed in respective ones of the plurality of holes;   wherein the body pad is formed from a soft, flexible and pliable material.   
     
     
         2 . The hair styling tool of  claim 1 , wherein the body pad is formed from a sponge or foam material. 
     
     
         3 . The hair styling tool of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers extend outward from respective ones of the plurality of holes. 
     
     
         4 . The hair styling tool of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers is in a plurality of equatorial rows across the body pad. 
     
     
         5 . The hair styling tool of  claim 4 , wherein one or more centrally located rows of the plurality of equatorial rows are shorter than outermost located rows of the plurality of equatorial rows. 
     
     
         19 . A hair styling tool comprising:
 a base member;   a body pad attached to the base member;   a plurality of holes formed in equatorial rows across the body pad;   a plurality of hair shapers extending outward from respective ones of the plurality of holes;   wherein the body pad is formed from a soft, flexible and pliable material.   
     
     
         20 . A hair styling tool comprising:
 a base member;   a body pad with a wavy outward surface removably attached to the base member;   a plurality of holes formed in the body pad;   a plurality of hair shapers extending at least partially through the plurality of holes through a bottom of the body pad;   wherein the body pad is formed from a soft, flexible and pliable material.   
     
     
         6 . The hair styling tool of  claim 3 , wherein at least a portion of the plurality of hair shapers have ends cut at an angle. 
     
     
         7 . The hair styling tool of  claim 6 , wherein the ends are angled toward a central equatorial axis. 
     
     
         8 . The hair styling tool of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers each have a hole formed along a length thereof 
     
     
         9 . The hair styling tool of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers are formed of a resiliently flexible material. 
     
     
         10 . The hair styling tool of  claim 3 , further comprising a spine disposed between the body pad and the base member. 
     
     
         11 . The hair styling tool of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers extend, from a bottom side thereof, into respective ones of the plurality of holes. 
     
     
         12 . The hair styling tool of  claim 11 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers are attached to the base member. 
     
     
         13 . The hair styling tool of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 a first removable attachment material affixed to or formed integrally with the base member; and   a second removable attachment material affixed to or formed integrally with the body pad;   wherein the first removable attachment material is removably attachable to the second removable attachment material, permitting a user to place one or more different body pads onto the base member.   
     
     
         14 . The hair styling tool of  claim 13 , further comprising a plurality of attachment material holes formed in the second removable attachment material, the plurality of attachment material holes aligning with the plurality of holes in the body pad. 
     
     
         15 . The hair styling tool of  claim 11 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers are disposed within the plurality of holes in the body pad. 
     
     
         16 . The hair styling tool of  claim 15 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers extend at least partially outward from the plurality of holes. 
     
     
         17 . The hair styling tool of  claim 11 , wherein the body pad includes a wavy outer surface. 
     
     
         18 . The hair styling tool of  claim 11 , wherein the plurality of hair shapers are formed from a flexible, solid plastic material.
