Compositions and methods for the detection and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease are provided.

         22 . The solid support of  claim 13 , wherein said IBD-associated SNP is associated with at least one of Chron's Disease (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC). 
     
     
         23 . The solid support of  claim 13 , wherein said solid support includes microparticles, a microarray, the surface of a microtitration well or test tube, a biacore chip, a dipstick or a filter.
