Abstract
A method of delivering digital content for use on an electronic cutting machine. The method includes displaying at least one themed project in a rich internet application, where the themed project has at least one glyph of a glyph collection. The method further includes providing access to the rich internet application over a network and offering purchased access to the glyph collection. Any glyphs of the glyph collection can be added to the themed project. The themed project is cuttable on an electronic cutting machine in communication with the rich internet application.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method of delivering digital content for use on an electronic cutting machine, the method comprising:
displaying digital content for ranking by users; receiving a user ranking for the digital content by each of the users; determining a content ranking for the digital content based on the received user rankings; and displaying the digital content to each user based on at least one of the content ranking and the user ranking of the respective user, wherein the digital content comprises at least one glyph cuttable on an electronic machine.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying the digital content in a rich internet application over a network.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising executing the rich internet application on a cloud client of a cloud computing scheme.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising statistically analyzing the user rankings for determining the content ranking.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising tracking at least one of browsing and usage of the digital content for creating designs and displaying the digital content based on the tracked usage of the digital content.
6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising displaying marketing information based on at least one of the user ranking, content ranking, and the tracked usage of the digital content.
7 . A method of delivering digital content for use on an electronic cutting machine, the method comprising:
providing access to a rich internet application to a user over a network; displaying at least one themed project in the rich internet application, the themed project allowing the user to insert at least one glyph of a glyph collection in a virtual mat and the themed project being cuttable on an electronic cutting machine in communication with the rich internet application; receiving input from the user indicating selection of a particular glyph from the glyph collection and placement of the particular glyph on the virtual mat; determining whether the user owns the particular glyph; and when the user does not own the particular glyph, offering purchased access to the glyph collection containing the particular glyph.
8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising allowing the user to cut the particular glyph when the user proves ownership of the glyph.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein determining whether the user owns the particular glyph includes:
establishing communication with a glyph cartridge that stores a user glyph collection of the user; and determining whether the particular glyph is included in the user glyph collection.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein communication with the glyph cartridge is established via the electronic cutting machine.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
