Multipurpose athletic training device and methods of use

Abstract

A multipurpose athletic training device and method are shown and described. The device includes for a first stake assembly. The first stake assembly is made up of a first base and a first stake. The first stake is connected perpendicularly to the first base. The first stake has at least one crossbar supporting device secured thereto. A crossbar is removably placed within the at least one crossbar supporting device of the first stake at a first end of the crossbar. The device further includes a second stake assembly. The second stake assembly includes a second base and a second stake, where in the second stake is connected perpendicularly to the second base. The second stake has at least one crossbar supporting device secured thereto. The crossbar is removably placed within the at least one crossbar supporting device of the second stake at a second end of the crossbar.

I claim: 
     
         1 ) A multipurpose athletic training device, the device comprising:
 a first stake assembly;   the first stake assembly is comprised of a first base and a first stake, where in the first stake is connected perpendicularly to the first base at a first end of the first stake;   the first stake has at least one crossbar supporting device secured thereto;   a crossbar is removably placed within the at least one crossbar supporting device of the first stake at a first end of the crossbar.   
     
     
         2 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , wherein the first stake is a telescopic stake and wherein the telescopic feature adjusts the height of the first stake. 
     
     
         3 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , wherein the crossbar is a telescopic crossbar and wherein the telescopic feature adjusts the length of the crossbar. 
     
     
         4 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , wherein first stake is removably secured to the first base. 
     
     
         5 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , further comprising a locking device removably secured to the at least one crossbar supporting device of the first stake, wherein the locking device will prevent the crossbar from being removed from the at least one crossbar supporting device of the first stake. 
     
     
         6 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one crossbar supporting device is removably secured to the first stake;
 and wherein the at least one crossbar supporting device of the first stake is removably connected to the first stake via a keymod system.   
     
     
         7 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , wherein the cross bar supporting device of the first stake is comprised of a backside, wherein the backside is secured to the first stake;
 a shelf extends outward from the backside in a direction opposite the connection to the first stake;   the shelf has a curvature such that each side of the shelf is above a lowest plane of the shelf.   
     
     
         8 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , wherein the cross bar supporting device is comprised of a backside, wherein the backside is secured to the first stake;
 an arm extends, at a first end, from the backside in a direction opposite the first stake;   the arm has a movable elbow joint such that it is capable of bending;   a crossbar securement device is connected to the second end of the arm, wherein the crossbar securement device will removably secure the crossbar thereto.   
     
     
         9 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 1 , further comprising a second stake assembly;
 the second stake assembly is comprised of a second base and a second stake, where in the second stake is connected perpendicularly to the second base at a first end of the second stake;   the second stake has at least one crossbar supporting device secured thereto;   the crossbar is removably placed within the at least one crossbar supporting device of the second stake at a second end of the crossbar.   
     
     
         10 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 9 , wherein the second stake is a telescopic stake and wherein the telescopic feature adjusts the height of the second stake. 
     
     
         11 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 9 , wherein second stake is removably secured to the second base. 
     
     
         12 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 9  further comprising a locking device removably secured to the at least one crossbar supporting device of the second stake, wherein
 the locking device will prevent the crossbar from being removed from the at least one crossbar supporting device of the second stake. 
 
     
     
         13 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one crossbar supporting device of the second stake is removably secured to the second stake; and wherein
 the at least one crossbar supporting device is removably connected to the second stake via a keymod system.   
     
     
         14 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 9 , wherein the cross bar supporting device of the second stake is comprised of a backside, wherein the backside is secured to the second stake;
 a shelf extends outward from the backside in a direction opposite the connection to the second stake;   the shelf has a curvature such that each side of the shelf is above a lowest plane of the shelf.   
     
     
         15 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 9 , further comprising at least one additional stake assembly, wherein each additional stake assembly resembles that of the first and second stake assemblies;
 at least one additional cross bar, wherein the number of crossbars is directly related to the number of stake assemblies in that each stake assembly will have at least one end of one crossbar placed within the respective stakes at least one crossbar supporting device.   
     
     
         16 ) A multipurpose athletic training device, the device comprising a first stake assembly;
 the first stake assembly is comprised of a first base, wherein the first base has a first side and a second side;   a first stake connected to the first side of the first base, where in the first stake is connected perpendicularly to the first base at an end of the first stake.   
     
     
         17 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 15 , further comprising a cord attached to the second side of the first base. 
     
     
         18 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 15 , further comprising an extendable semi-rigid pole removably secured to the second side of the first base, wherein the extendable semi-rigid pole is capable of adjusting to multiple angles away from the first base. 
     
     
         19 ) The multipurpose athletic training device of  claim 15 , further comprising a hockey tripod secured to second side of the first base; wherein the hockey tripod is comprised of the head of a hockey stick, at least part of the shaft of a hockey stick and two surfaces that resemble the feet of a player that would be holding the stick.
