Abstract
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example distinguishing a first user from a second user of a group of users based on distinguishable user attributes among the group of users. A first AR overlay is provided to equipment of the first user, and the first AR overlay is modified according to the distinguishable user attributes to obtain a second AR overlay that differs from the first AR overlay. A notification is provided to the second AR overlay, wherein a live event is observable by the equipment of the first user using the first AR overlay and by equipment of the second user using the second AR overlay. Other embodiments are disclosed.

1 . An augmented reality (AR) system, comprising:
a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
identifying distinguishable user attributes among a plurality of users;
distinguishing a first user from a second user of the plurality of users based on the distinguishable user attributes;
providing a first AR overlay to equipment of the first user;
modulating the first AR overlay according to the distinguishable user attributes to obtain a second AR overlay that differs from the first AR overlay; and
notifying the second AR overlay, wherein a live event is observable by the equipment of the first user using the first AR overlay and by equipment of the second user using the second AR overlay.
2 . The AR system of claim 1 , wherein the distinguishable user attributes comprise a level of experience, and wherein the AR system uses the level of experience to modify the first and second AR overlays.
3 . The AR system of claim 2 , wherein the level of experience is based on a history of each user of the plurality of users.
4 . The AR system of claim 3 , wherein the history of each user includes a number of times that each user has participated in the live event.
5 . The AR system of claim 1 , wherein the modulating incorporates environment rules to change the first and second AR overlays based on environments of the first and second users.
6 . The AR system of claim 1 , wherein the modulating incorporates biometric rules to change the second AR overlay based on biometric indicators.
7 . The AR system of claim 1 , wherein the modulating comprises filtering to remove live content in a view of the second user.
8 . The AR system of claim 1 , wherein the modulating comprises highlighting content in a view of the second user.
9 . A method, comprising:
identifying, by a processing system including a processor, distinguishable user attributes among a plurality of users; distinguishing, by the processing system, a first user from a second user of the plurality of users based on the distinguishable user attributes; providing, by the processing system, a first augmented reality (AR) overlay to equipment of the first user; modulating, by the processing system, the first AR overlay according to the distinguishable user attributes to obtain a second AR overlay that differs from the first AR overlay; and providing, by the processing system, the second AR overlay to the equipment of the second user, wherein a live event is observable by the equipment of the first user using the first AR overlay and by equipment of the second user using the second AR overlay.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
determining a context for a component of the first and second AR overlays, wherein the context is based on first and second user profiles of the first and second users, a historical relationship between the first and second users, a time of the live event, a location of the first and second users, or a combination thereof.
11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
determine a context for AR components in the first and second AR overlays, wherein the context is based on the distinguishable user attributes.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the distinguishable user attributes comprise a weighted level of experience.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the weighted level of experience is based on a history of the first and second users.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the history includes a number of times that each of the first and second users has participated in the live event.
15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the modulating comprises highlighting content in a view of the second user.
16 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the modulating comprises removing content in a view of the second user.
17 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing the second AR overlay comprises providing, by the processing system, a toggle for the first user to switch view from the second AR overlay to the AR overlay for the second user.
18 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the modulating comprises selecting, by the processing system, simplified content for the second user.
19 . A non-transitory, machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
distinguishing a first user from a second user of a plurality of users based on distinguishable user attributes among the plurality of users; providing a first augmented reality (AR) overlay to equipment of the first user; modifying the first AR overlay according to the distinguishable user attributes to obtain a second AR overlay that differs from the first AR overlay; and providing a notification to the second AR overlay, wherein a live event is observable by the equipment of the first user using the first AR overlay and by equipment of the second user using the second AR overlay.
