Transactional Sharding of Blockchain Transactions
Abstract
A complex cryptographic coinage transaction is transactionally sharded into multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions. The complex cryptographic coinage transaction specifies cryptographic debits and/or deposits to/from multiple input accounts and/or multiple output accounts. The simple cryptographic coinage transactions, however, only specify a single one of the input accounts and/or a single one of the output accounts. A single server within a blockchain environment may thus process one of the simple cryptographic coinage transactions without requiring calls for data from other servers responsible for other accounts.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by a server, a cryptographic coinage transaction conducted by computers via a network; determining, by the server, that the cryptographic coinage transaction has a complex accounting structure; transactionally sharding, by the server, the cryptographic coinage transaction into multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions; and dispersing, by the server, the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions for processing; wherein the cryptographic coinage transaction having the complex accounting structure is transactionally sharded into the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising selecting a processing destination for any of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions based on an input account address specified by the cryptographic coinage transaction having the complex accounting structure.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising selecting a processing destination for any of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions based on an output account address specified by the cryptographic coinage transaction having the complex accounting structure.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining the complex accounting structure based on a number of input account addresses specified by the cryptographic coinage transaction.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining the complex accounting structure based on a number of output account addresses specified by the cryptographic coinage transaction.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining all the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions pass.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining any of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions fail.
8 . A system, comprising:
a hardware processor; and a memory device, the memory device storing instructions, the instructions when executed causing the hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: receiving a cryptographic coinage transaction; determining that the cryptographic coinage transaction specifies multiple account addresses; determining that the cryptographic coinage transaction has a complex accounting structure in response to the cryptographic coinage transaction specifying the multiple account addresses; transactionally sharding the cryptographic coinage transaction into multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions, each simple cryptographic coinage transaction of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions only specifying two account addresses of the multiple account addresses; and dispersing the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions for processing; wherein the cryptographic coinage transaction having the complex accounting structure is transactionally sharded into the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise selecting a processing destination for any of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions based on a single input account address.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise selecting a processing destination for any of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions based on a single output account address.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise determining the complex accounting structure based on a number of multiple input account addresses specified by the cryptographic coinage transaction.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise determining the complex accounting structure based on a number of multiple output account addresses specified by the cryptographic coinage transaction.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise determining all the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions pass.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise determining any of the multiple simple cryptographic coinage transactions fail.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
