Abstract

The disclosure herein is directed toward systems and methods for pairing two or more devices into a wireless network and transferring data between two or more electro-stimulation devices. Specifically, the systems and methods disclosed herein may include pairing two or more devices into a network configuration using, in part, a pairing device to distinctly identify the devices to be paired and to pair the identified devices into a network. Moreover, the systems and methods disclosed herein may include transferring data between two or more devices using, in part, one or more electro-stimulation contacts for electro-stimulation therapy and using, in part, the same one or more electro-stimulation contacts for transferring data between two or more devices.

Claims

. A method comprising:
providing at least two wireless electronic devices; providing a pairing device configured to recognize the at least two wireless electronic devices and pair the at least two wireless electronic devices into a wireless network when the at least two wireless electronic devices are brought within a proximity threshold of the pairing device; pairing, with the pairing device, the at least two wireless electronic devices into the wireless network when the at least two wireless electronic devices are brought within the proximity threshold of the pairing device; wirelessly communicating, between the at least two wireless electronic devices, after the at least two wireless electronic devices are paired by the pairing device, such that wireless communication between the at least two wireless electronic devices does not go through the pairing device.

. The method of claim 21 , further comprising maintaining the pairing of the at least two wireless electronic devices when the at least two wireless electronic devices are moved outside of the proximity threshold of the pairing device.

. The method of claim 21 , further comprising maintaining the pairing of the at least two wireless electronic devices in the absence of the pairing device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the pairing device comprises a charging station.

. The method of claim 24 , further comprising charging the at least two wireless electronic devices with the pairing device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein pairing the at least two wireless electronic devices into the wireless network with the pairing device comprises wirelessly communicating between each of the at least two wireless electronic devices and the pairing device.

. The method of claim 26 , wherein wireless communication between each of the at least two wireless electronic devices comprises wireless communication through a magnetic coupling.

. The method of claim 21 , further comprising recognizing, with the pairing device, when the at least two wireless electronic wireless devices are brought within the proximity threshold.

. The method of claim 21 , further comprising triggering the pairing of the at least two wireless electronic devices based upon a user action.

. The method of claim 29 , wherein the user action comprises actuation of a button.

. The method of claim 30 , wherein the pairing device comprises the button.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the pairing of the at least two wireless electronic devices into a wireless network is not initiated by a user action other than placing the at least two wireless electronic devices within the proximity threshold of the pairing device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein one of the at least two wireless electronic devices comprises an electro-stimulator device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein one of the at least two wireless electronic devices comprises a therapeutic ultrasound device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein one of the at least two wireless electronic devices comprises an imaging ultrasound device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein one of the at least two wireless electronic devices comprises a laser device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the pairing of the at least two wireless electronic devices into a wireless network remains permanent until another pairing process is initiated.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the proximity threshold of the pairing device requires that the at least two wireless electronic devices be placed in physical contact with the pairing device.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the pairing device determines which of the at least two wireless electronic devices to pair into the wireless network according to unique IDs of the at least two wireless electronic devices.
