Systems and methods for sharing content
Abstract
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine that at least one image has been captured using the computing device, wherein one or more individuals are represented in the image. An identity of at least a first individual of the one or more individuals represented in the image is determined, wherein the identity of the first individual is determined, at least in part, using a social networking system. A notification is presented through a display of the computing device, wherein the notification provides an option to send a message including the captured image to the first individual.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, by a computing system, an image captured by a computing device of a user in which an individual appears; determining, by the computing system, an identity of the individual appearing in the image based on an image classifier and a selected relationship with the user; and providing, by the computing system, the identity of the individual to the computing device, wherein a notification is provided that includes an option to send a message to the individual through an existing message thread associated with the user and the individual, the notification including a label in an image of the individual that indicates the identity of the individual.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
training, by the computing system, the image classifier based on training data that includes a sample set of images, wherein the image classifier is trained to predict a likelihood that an individual is present in an image.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the identity of the individual comprises:
providing, by the computing system, data associated with features of the individual appearing in the image; and receiving, by the computing system, the identity of the individual appearing in the image.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the identity of the individual comprises:
determining, by the computing system, that the individual appearing in the image satisfies the selected relationship with the user based on a social graph maintained by the computing system.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein the selected relationship includes a selected degree of separation and the determining that the individual appearing in the image satisfies the selected relationship with the user includes determining a degree of separation between the individual and the user based on the social graph.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the individual and the user are associated with respective social profiles published through the computing system.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, by the computing system, information associated with an identity of the individual in response to the identity of the individual being misidentified.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
sending, by the computing system, the message to the individual appearing in the image based on a selection of the option to send the message.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
providing, by the computing system, a message from the individual to the user through the existing message thread.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, by the computing system, a set of images including the image captured by the computing device; and providing, by the computing system, a batch notification that includes an option to share the set of images with the individual.
11 . A system comprising:
at least one processor; and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to perform a method comprising:
receiving an image captured by a computing device of a user in which an individual appears;
determining an identity of the individual appearing in the image based on an image classifier and a selected relationship with the user; and
providing the identity of the individual to the computing device, wherein a notification is provided that includes an option to send a message to the individual through an existing message thread associated with the user and the individual, the notification including a label in an image of the individual that indicates the identity of the individual.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the system to perform:
training the image classifier based on training data that includes a sample set of images, wherein the image classifier is trained to predict a likelihood that an individual is present in an image.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the determining the identity of the individual comprises:
providing data associated with features of the individual appearing in the image; and receiving the identity of the individual appearing in the image.
14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the determining the identity of the individual comprises:
determining that the individual appearing in the image satisfies the selected relationship with the user based on a social graph maintained by the system.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the selected relationship includes a selected degree of separation and the determining that the individual appearing in the image satisfies the selected relationship with the user includes determining a degree of separation between the individual and the user based on the social graph.
16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by at least on processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform a method comprising:
receiving an image captured by a computing device of a user in which an individual appears; determining an identity of the individual appearing in the image based on an image classifier and a selected relationship with the user; and providing the identity of the individual to the computing device, wherein a notification is provided that includes an option to send a message to the individual through an existing message thread associated with the user and the individual, the notification including a label in an image of the individual that indicates the identity of the individual.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further cause the computing system to perform:
training the image classifier based on training data that includes a sample set of images, wherein the image classifier is trained to predict a likelihood that an individual is present in an image.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the determining the identity of the individual comprises:
providing data associated with features of the individual appearing in the image; and receiving the identity of the individual appearing in the image.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the determining the identity of the individual comprises:
determining that the individual appearing in the image satisfies the selected relationship with the user based on a social graph maintained by the computing system.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the selected relationship includes a selected degree of separation and the determining that the individual appearing in the image satisfies the selected relationship with the user includes determining a degree of separation between the individual and the user based on the social graph.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
