Abstract

The method, system, and computer-readable medium facilitates a peer to peer marketplace created and maintained by an insurance provider. The provider enables sharing of goods and services among policyholders. A listing including a listing category for a good or service to be offered in the peer to peer marketplace can be received. An insurance policy quote to cover a rental transaction of the good or service offered in the listing can be generated, and both the listing and quote can be stored in a data repository. Next, a search category can be received, and one or more listings can be determined to be pertinent based on the search category. The determined pertinent listings can be presented and the rental transaction can be received.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A computer-implemented method for creating and maintaining a collaborative peer to peer marketplace in which a first user of a first client device provides a household good or service for rent to a second user of a second client device, the method comprising:
 receiving, by one or more processors via a computer network from the first client device, media in the form of a photo, a video, or an audio file of the household good or service offered for rent by the first user to the second user in the peer to peer marketplace; accessing, by the one or more processors from a database, data associated with a customer profile of the first user to determine a rental cost and location for the household good or service; generating, by the one or more processors, a listing for the household good or service based on information extracted from the received media and the data, wherein the listing includes the rental cost and the location for the household good or service; generating, by the one or more processors, an insurance policy quote for an insurance policy associated with a rental transaction of the household good or service offered in the listing; and determining, by the one or more processors, to present the listing via a user interface on the second client device by comparing a location of the second client device to the location of the household good or service for rent.

         2 . (canceled)

         3 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving, by one or more processors via the computer network from the first client device, a login to identify the customer profile associated with the listing.

         4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein receiving the login to identify the customer profile further comprises:
 receiving a unique login ID and password.

         5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the customer profile further includes demographic data to identify the first user.

         6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein generating the insurance policy quote is based on:
 analyzing the data associated with the customer profile of the first user and information in the listing.

         7 . (canceled)

         8 . A system for creating and maintaining a collaborative peer to peer marketplace in which a first user of a first client device provides a household good or service for rent to a second user of a second client device, the system comprising:
 a database; a memory storing non-transitory computer executable instructions; and one or more processors one or more processors coupled to the memory and the database, wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute the non-transitory computer executable instructions to:
 receive, from the first client device, media in the form of a photo, a video or an audio file of the household good or service offered for rent by the first user to the second user in the peer to peer marketplace;
 access, from the database, data associated with a customer profile of the first user to determine a rental cost and location for the household good or service;
 generate a listing for the household good or service based on information extracted from the received media and the data, wherein the listing includes the rental cost and the location for the household good or service;
 generate an insurance policy quote for an insurance policy associated with a rental transaction of the household good or service offered in the listing; and
 determine to present the listing via a user interface on the second client device by comparing a location of the second client device to the location of the household good or service for rent.

         9 . (canceled)

         10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:
 receive, from the first client device, a login to identify the customer profile associated with the listing.

         11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the login comprises:
 a unique login ID and password.

         12 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the customer profile further includes demographic data to identify the first user.

         13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to generate the insurance policy quote based on:
 analyzing the data associated with the customer profile of the first user and information in the listing.

         14 . (canceled)

         15 . A tangible computer-readable medium including non-transitory computer readable instructions stored thereon for creating and maintaining a collaborative peer to peer market place in which a first user of a first client device provides a household good or service for rent to a second user of a second client device, that when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 receive, from the first client device, media in the form of a photo, a video or an audio file of the household good or service offered for rent by the first user to the second user in the peer to peer marketplace; access, from a database, data associated with a customer profile of the first user to determine a rental cost and location for the household good or service; generate a listing for the household good or service based on information extracted from the received media and the data, wherein the listing includes the rental cost and the location for the household good or service; generate an insurance policy quote for an insurance policy associated with a rental transaction of the household good or service offered in the listing; and determine to present the listing via a user interface on the second client device by comparing a location of the second client device to the location of the household good or service for rent.

         16 . (canceled)

         17 . The tangible computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein execution of the non-transitory computer-readable medium further causes the one or more processors to:
 receive, from the first client device, a login to identify the customer profile associated with the listing.

         18 . The tangible computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the login comprises:
 a unique login ID and password.

         19 . The tangible computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the customer profile further includes demographic data to identify the first user.

         20 . The tangible computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein execution of the non-transitory computer-readable medium causes the one or more processors to generate the insurance policy based on:
 analyzing the data associated with the customer profile of the first user and information.
