Information processing apparatus, image forming system, information processing method, and storage medium
Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit and a control unit. The obtaining unit obtains, from a verification apparatus configured to perform, for each printed material of printed materials, verification about whether the printed material satisfies a given condition, information that is based on a result of the verification. Each of the printed materials is a recording medium on which an image is printed by a printing apparatus. The control unit performs control so that output of the printed materials from the printing apparatus is suppressed when a given number of printed materials are handled as one bundle and the number of printed materials that satisfy the given condition reaches the given number based on the verification result. The control unit performs control so that insertion paper interspacing a plurality of bundles is output next to the given number of printed materials that satisfy the given condition.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An image forming system comprising:
a printing unit configured to print an image on a recording sheet; a reading unit configured to read images to be verified that are printed on recording sheets by the printing unit; a determination unit configured to determine whether the images read by the reading unit are normal or defective; and a control unit configured to perform control such that, when a number of recording sheets determined to be normal reaches a predetermined number, insertion paper is inserted and outputted immediately after the predetermined number of the recording sheets determined to be normal are outputted.
2 . The image forming system according to claim 1 , wherein the control unit is further configured to control the determination unit not to determine the read images after the reading unit reads the insertion paper.
3 . The image forming system according to claim 1 , wherein the insertion paper and the recording sheets having the images determined to be normal are discharged into a first tray, and the recording sheets having the images determined to be defective are discharged into a second tray.
4 . The image forming system according to claim 1 , wherein the insertion paper includes coded information.
5 . The image forming system according to claim 1 , wherein the reading unit is further configured to read the recording sheet that has the image printed by the printing unit and is conveyed through a conveyance path.
6 . A method for an image forming system, the method comprising:
printing an image on a recording sheet; reading images to be verified that are printed on recording sheets; determining whether the read images are normal or defective; and performing control such that, when a number of recording sheets determined to be normal reaches a predetermined number, insertion paper is inserted and outputted immediately after the predetermined number of the recording sheets determined to be normal are outputted.
7 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein performing control further includes performing control not to determine the read images after the insertion paper is read.
8 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the insertion paper and the recording sheets having the images determined to be normal are discharged into a first tray, and the recording sheets having the images determined to be defective are discharged into a second tray.
9 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the insertion paper includes coded information.
10 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein reading further includes reading the recording sheet that has the printed image and is conveyed through a conveyance path.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
