Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of ascr#7 for preventing or treating IL-6 and/or IL-1β-mediated diseases.

         17 . A composition comprising ascr#7 and a corticosteroid. 
     
     
         18 . The composition of  claim 17 , wherein the corticosteroid is selected from aldosterone, betamethasone, budesonide, corticosterone, cortisol, cortisone, dexamethasone, fluticasone, hydrocortisone, methylprednisolone, prednisolone, and prednisone. 
     
     
         19 . The composition of  claim 17 , wherein ascr#7 and a corticosteroid are administered in the same formulation. 
     
     
         20 . The composition of  claim 17 , further comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 
     
     
         21 . The composition of  claim 17 , wherein the composition has synergistic effects of ascr#7 and a corticosteroid.
