Abstract
Prosthetic mitral valves and their methods of manufacture and use.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A replacement mitral valve, comprising:
an anchor frame extending along a longitudinal axis and having a central opening, the anchor frame comprising:
a flared first anchor having a first plurality of interconnected arcuate portions extending around an outer perimeter thereof, at least some of the first plurality of interconnected arcuate portions including a hook;
a second anchor; and
a central portion, the flared first anchor is flared radially outward relative to the central portion when the replacement valve is in an expanded configuration;
a strut frame secured to the anchor frame; and a plurality of leaflets attached to the strut frame; wherein the replacement mitral valve is configured to self-expand from a collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration.
2 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of interconnected arcuate portions includes a hook.
3 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein the hook extends from a tip of the interconnected arcuate portion.
4 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 3 , wherein the hook extends inward from the tip of the interconnected arcuate portion.
5 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 3 , wherein the hook extends towards the central opening when the replacement mitral valve is in the expanded configuration.
6 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein tips of the arcuate portions are rounded.
7 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein the second anchor comprises an atrial anchor.
8 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 7 , wherein the atrial anchor comprises a plurality of atrial cells.
9 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 8 , wherein the atrial anchor is flared radially outward relative to the central portion.
10 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 9 , wherein at least some of the atrial cells include an aperture at a bend near an end portion.
11 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 7 , wherein the atrial anchor is formed of a material that is thinner as compared to the central portion.
12 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein the strut frame is attached to a central portion of the anchor frame.
13 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein the strut frame is indirectly attached to the anchor frame.
14 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein the flared first anchor is a ventricular anchor.
15 . The replacement mitral valve of claim 1 , wherein the second anchor is formed of a material that is thinner as compared to the flared first anchor.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
