Abstract

Generally, the present disclosure is directed to anonymizing patient data in a multi-modality medical processing system. The method and system described herein automatically remove information from medical data that could identify the patient from which it was acquired, so as to protect the privacy of the patient. Specifically, the anonymizing is performed without intervention from a human to limit errors and incomplete information deletion. Further, data sets in different medical modalities may be anonymized at the same time, and multiple patient cases corresponding to different patients may be anonymized at the same time to increase efficiency.

Claims

What is claimed is:

         1 . A system, comprising:
 a processor configured for communication with a first intravascular device, a second intravascular device, a data repository, and a display, wherein the processor is configured to:
 receive a user input identifying a patient;
 retrieve, from the data repository and based on the user input, first intravascular data of the patient and second intravascular data of the patient, wherein the first intravascular data was previously acquired by the first intravascular device and is associated with a first intravascular modality, and wherein the second intravascular data was previously acquired by the second intravascular device and is associated with a second intravascular modality;
 generate a screen display identifying previously acquired intravascular data of the patient for the first intravascular modality and the second intravascular modality such that screen display comprises a first selectable representation of the first intravascular data simultaneously as a second selectable representation of the second intravascular data; and
 output the screen display to the display.

         2 . The system of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first intravascular modality is associated with intravascular imaging, and wherein the second intravascular modality is associated with intravascular pressure.

         3 . The system of  claim 2 ,
 wherein the first intravascular modality comprises intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging, and wherein the second intravascular modality comprises at least one of fractional flow reserve (FFR) or instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR).

         4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user input comprises a name of the patient.

         5 . The system of  claim 4 ,
 wherein the patient is associated with an identifier, wherein the first intravascular data and the second intravascular data are stored in the data repository in association with the identifier, and wherein the processor is configured to retrieve the first intravascular data and the second intravascular data from the data repository based on the identifier.

         6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein, to retrieve the first intravascular data of the patient and the second intravascular data of the patient, the processor is configured to query the data repository for intravascular data associated with the identifier.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first intravascular data was previously acquired and the second intravascular data was previously acquired at different times.

         8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first selectable representation comprises a title associated with the first intravascular data.

         9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first selectable representation comprises a time representative of when the first intravascular data was previously acquired.

         10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first selectable representation comprises an indication representative of a bookmark within the first intravascular data.

         11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second selectable representation comprises a numerical value associated with the second intravascular data.

         12 . The system of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first selectable representation comprises an unselected state and a selected state, wherein the processor is configured to:
 receive a user selection of the first selectable representation; and
 modify the screen display to transition the first selectable representation from the unselected state to the selected state.

         13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the selected state comprises additional information associated the first intravascular data.

         14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the additional information comprises a label for a bookmark within the first intravascular data.

         15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the additional information comprises a time associated with the bookmark.

         16 . The system of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first intravascular modality is associated with intravascular imaging, wherein the first intravascular data comprises a plurality of intravascular images, and wherein the first selectable representation comprises an intravascular image of the plurality of intravascular images.

         17 . The system of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first selectable representation comprises an unselected state and a selected state, wherein the second selectable representation comprises the unselected state and the selected state, and wherein the processor is configured to:
 receive a first user selection of the first selectable representation;
 receive a second user selection of the second selectable representation; and
 modify the screen display such that the first selectable representation is in the selected state simultaneously as the second selectable representation is in the selected state.

         18 . The system of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the processor is configured to retrieve, from the data repository and based on the user input, third intravascular data of the patient, wherein the third intravascular data was previously acquired and is associated with the first intravascular modality, wherein the screen display comprises a third selectable representation of the third intravascular data simultaneously as the first selectable representation and the second selectable representation, and wherein the screen display is organized by modality type such that the first selectable representation and the third selectable representation are grouped.
