. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the andropause syndrome is joint or muscle pain, osteoporosis, hyperhidrosis, a sleep disorder, erethism, hypersensitivity, emotional anxiety, lethargy, fatigue, decreased muscle strength, depression, decreased sexual energy, decreased libido, impaired erection, aging or a decreased genitourinary function.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , which increases a blood testosterone content.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the extract is obtained using an extraction solvent selected from distilled water, C 1 -C 6 alcohols, glycerin, C 2 -C 6 alkylene glycols, C 1 -C 6 alkanes, C 1 -C 6 halogenated hydrocarbons, C 2 -C 6 alkyl alkanoates, and a mixture thereof.
. A food composition for preventing or improving andropause syndrome, comprising:
an elderberry ( Sambucus nigra ) extract as an active ingredient.
. The food composition of claim 5 , wherein the andropause syndrome is joint or muscle pain, osteoporosis, hyperhidrosis, a sleep disorder, erethism, hypersensitivity, emotional anxiety, lethargy, fatigue, decreased muscle strength, depression, decreased sexual energy, decreased libido, impaired erection, aging or a decreased genitourinary function.
. The food composition of claim 5 , which increases a blood testosterone content.
. The food composition of claim 5 , wherein the extract is obtained using an extraction solvent selected from distilled water, C 1 -C 6 alcohols, glycerin, C 2 -C 6 alkylene glycols, C 1 -C 6 alkanes, C 1 -C 6 halogenated hydrocarbons, C 2 -C 6 alkyl alkanoates, and a mixture thereof.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
